Don't Panic
Late last year I was cleaning out my parent's attic when I came across a box containing books I'd read some many years prior. In it was an old copy of Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." A book I'd laughed at/with as a teenager but eventually forgotten entirely, its author along with it. This minor discovery reintroduced me to Adams' work, all of which I've repeatedly devoured since then. I only recently learned of his passing which led me to this site. I'm pleased to find it thriving.
"`...You hadn't exactly gone out of your way to call attention to them had you? I mean like actually telling anyone or anything.'
`But the plans were on display...'
`On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.'
`That's the display department.'
`With a torch.'
`Ah, well the lights had probably gone.'
`So had the stairs.'
`But look you found the notice didn't you?'
`Yes,' said Arthur, `yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of The Leopard".'"
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy-- Arthur singing the praises of the local council planning department.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
