h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Being from another northern climate (western Canada), I know all too well, what you mean about winter . I'm reasonably new here myself, & am just greeting some of the recent arrivals, like yourself.
Could I possibly offer you a , or & some ...maybe, some ? I know I'll certainly have some, it helps to make the winter months more bearable.

This is a very nice, friendly place...I've really become very fond of it, & have met a number of wonderful people. Don't be afraid to go looking around, there are lots of things to find/see. If you'd like, you can click on my nickname, to visit my space.

Ok, supper eaten, & a portion put away as 'leftovers', I can pick up where I left off. I noticed that my good friend Neugen has written you, she's just 1 of the wonderful people I've met here. She had mentioned the smileys, to find the whole collection, you can type smileys into the search window. They're !!

Also, you're probably wondering about our names, right? Well, mine is actually Darrell, & to create an 'alias', or nickname, just click on 'preferences', at the left hand side of your screen. You can then create your own...and vary it periodically, if you like, just by going back to 'preferences'. For example,I had been 'jazzedupcurry, wishing he was on a barbados beach, if you must know!', for awhile.

In any case, don't hesitate to ask for help, if you need it, I mean both Neugen & I (& I'm sure everybody here) were/was new, at some point. Expect to be seeing you around, ok...bye *waves*

Have any ideas for a nickname? I know it's stupid to go about your own name on internet. I just can't seem to find a suitable nickname for myself. Have to blame bad imagination.

I like: Coffee, BodyPump, Computers (I do that for a living, so I sord of have to like them), Food that's bad for you (I've been dieting so I seem to be craving for all things sweet and salty at the same time), Being lazy, surfing internet, Reading, Music (mainstream pop-music, nothing fancy), Sleeping too late on mornings...

I dont' like: ... hmmm... Well, nothing too specific seems to come to my mind, but if something appears, I'll let you know.

Ok, good to hear from you, Johanna...a nickname, or internet alias, hmm? Well, had you considered something 'interest-related'? My s/n, on my local ISP is 'jazznjava',shortened from almost 2 years ago (when I got the computer, I got a free year of AOL),was - ok, a real mouthful - 'JazznjavaJivinJo'. So, just a suggestion, I guess...something like 'caffienQuean'? Or, some little twist on a favourite song title, or another pastime/hobby/interest. Here's a thought, you work with computers - compugirl, or compumaiden, or something.

Always good to meet another drinker! Do you have any preferance? I mean, do you like ordinary good quality , or a creamy , or Latte? I usually have just plain , with cream...sometimes, just black. Occassionally, though, I like a , alot of times, I make my own, at home, using a hot chocolate powder, & a bit of cream...or, a bit of nutmeg & cloves (at Christmas time...or a splash of Vanilla extract, or whatever - a favourite, is a bit of cinnamon!)
