Hullo

I tried my hand at a writing project a short while ago. I started with a very basic plot - so basic it could be summed up in about three or four sentences smiley - smiley I took this and drafted the whole thing in little chunks on a timeline, similar to stage directions and inserts where characters needed to be introduced and developed further. From this I could write the full story using the draft as a template which I could fill out as necessary. This also helped to iron out inconsistencies since these had been cleared up in the basic draft, avoiding the whole issue or having to rewrite whole chunks later on. smiley - headhurts

I've not finished it yet but seems to be going ok so far.

The Groob

I've been working on this project solidly since the year 2000.

I seem to be going round in circles. I am fairly good at making up plots and interesting ideas. What I can't do is action in the here and now (chases, fights etc).

I like this idea:

You have a time machine and find out that a single meeting between 'greats' (Greeks or something like that) was highly influential in making the world we live in today. You go back in time to the meeting and join in. You find out that the slightest intrusion or comment causes major differences when you return to the future. You keep going back to that meeting and returning to the future to find out how the slightest intrusion totally changes the future.

Hmmmmm.
