I might have been asking you if you want to do a joint entry on bladderwrack, but I thought you might be heartily sick of bladderwrack, so I decided not to.

I have to write a 5000 word report, part of which includes wracks. Have you studied anything else for rocky shores? Coul write a nice ecology entry.

Only bladderwrack, but I have to write about 3000 words about how that gets longer the closer to Chart Datum you get.

And I thought the section on the behaviour of periwinkles was bad...

I did something about that, their lenghts on sheltered and open rock shores.

It was an experiment on their activity in different salinities of sea water, ended up with the things crawlin all over the desks.

Ah, the only exposure to crawling things I had was painting sandhoppers.

Yes. Except not recapture. Paint fifty. Recapture fifty. Not necessarily painted ones. Using some index or other work out the population of sandhoppers in the area.

Yup, did that for woodlice. To estimate overall population size.

I think we got 150 back in the end. It was the most absorbed my biology teacher had ever seen me- largely I give the impression of being stoned out of my mind, but I apparently really came to life when catching and painting sandhoppers.
