Hi Unc, I've just finished reading the collaborative book, took me about an hour to do so, tell me, did nobody proofread it? I know I'm not a native speaker, but I think it's full of misspellings and some wrong grammar-at least in my opinion.So if you would like me to proof-read it, I'd try to print it and go through it again. Were you reading 'the Never Ending Story' instead? (It's about 6 chapters long, and about a chimp called X2, an alien called Oddy and Raymond). If so, that's just a write-up of a story game I started back in February, written a line at a time. Consequently the spelling and grammar on it aren't any good..

There are some short stories so far for the book, posted on threads instead of articles..

Uups, you are right, "the Never Ending Story", that's exactly what I read. It's always like this, I start somewhere and then hop from one interesting link to another and I end up not knowing where exactly I am and how I got there and how to get back to where I started

It was the Never Ending Story that resulted in the Book Project, which is why it is linked to on that page . If you want to be one of the editiors for the project however, then your most welcome...

Just put your name down at A1072234, there are 3 other editors so far, what you'd do is read through the story on a weekly basis and help with checking the continuity, spelling and grammar.

The idea is that one of the writers takes the story for a week, and then posts what they've added to it on h2g2 so that feedback can be given. Although the project should have started a month ago, several things went wrong (people having problems with work, holidays, that type of thing), but we are intending to restart it within a week or two now that things have settled down.
