The first lecture started along the lines of "the two things people seem to strive for are justice and freedom. It's a shame therefore that the two are contradictory." Was great fun, I was hoping that bioethics would be similar but instead the lecturer would give various examples from genetics and get us to classify all the opinions into different ethical groups. It seemed somewhat dull and pointless so I dropped it and am taking oceanography instead.
Me too, go out to a party and a few hours later I was out in the Peaks.

Bioethics is a bit of a muddy field. It seems impossible to teach, or at least to teach interstingly.

I got a lot of doodling done in the lectures certainly. Got to pick my brother up from the station in a bit.
Though I think it a little strange that one of the universities he's applied to is the same as his big sister's
.It's not that we don't get on, it would just be very strange.

Yeah.
Doodling!
I often play squares with the person next to me. And draw the lecturer. I got a really good one of my history teacher looking like a Roman emperor.

A friend of mine in Swansea has been there for years, was there before I arrived in '99 and is still there after I've left. A couple of years ago his little sister arrived there too. He's a bulky, hairy dark fellow and we (i.e. me and several others who knew him) didn't realise for nearly a year that the gorgeous, petite blonde serving us drinks in our local pub was in fact she...
Much speculation ensued when we did eventually twig

I just doodle, though they often end up themed on the lecture content; fish in 'Aquatic science', fish in 'Oceanongraphy', fish in 'Marine zoology'...

Any odd squiggle could count as an anatomical diagram of some kind of plankton or deep water critter anyway. Was labelling diagrams of plankton last week and could only manage 'head' and 'tail' in most cases.

That part is generally covered in the title though.
SOme plakton have legs which are another feature to add. Diatoms though are just pretty squiggles.

We got that this morning, well, last night to be precise. Just in time to make cycling to school really nasty, and so that we couldn't enjoy it. Hope we get more tonight. It'd be a disgrace if it were to stay this cold without snowing.

It only snowed for a little bit. It is certainly cold
but sunny, so I got most of my next assignment done for photography.

It did snow, but only for about ten minutes so I'm not suprised if you missed it. There has certainly been a dissappointing lack of the stuff in Nottingham this year.

Yeah.
I don't do hats. Firstly, they much up my hair. Secondly, they make me look like a burk, especially when I have longish hair.

I can't stand having cold ears , it hurts. I don't like wearing my hair up either, so a hat in balance generally stops my hair from being such a tangled mess.
I still have my hat though, but that only gets worn on rambles (useful for telling people apart in fog)
Key: Complain about this post
