Might be worth seeing if you can find a site on Chinese mythology, can't remember if they had phoenixes as well as dragons but there might be some ideas there

Chinese mythology does have a phoenix...which is how I found out the masculin/feminine thing...

their had personalities and names I think unlike western ones which were just

Yeah...we were never good at making non-human things human though...

(give me a sec and I'll be able to put a link in of the pictures I have of the dragon and phoenix....the phoenix is still, however in draft stage...until I find a friend who can draw )

It's not a *very* scary dragon...it's just not a *pretty* dragon...

pretty is such a mediocre word, like nice (I always hated it when a girl said I was nice)
why settle for pretty or nice when you can be you

I know exactly what you mean...I've never been the kind of person to do things by halves...as a result people either love me, hate me or fear me

Even my mother thinks you have a lovely smile
Pretty or nice are things you call people when you don't have a strong opinion and are being polite

Or sometimes all of them at once

I suppose it depends on how you say it...I say "pretty" a bit...but it tends to be more of a "mmmm....preeeeetttty...."

I suppose pretty is more of a compliment than nice
If a girl says to you you're nice you know the next line is going to be but I think of you more as a friend
Not quite as devastating now but 20 years ago
Just goes to prove the shallowness of your average male adolescent I suppose (well this 1 anyway)
