h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just thought I'd drop by as I'm revising for an exam and, as a result, thoroughly bored.

How have you been lately?

Well, it's always nice to know that, when you're bored, you think of me ...

I'm alright down here, it's too bl**dy hot and my life is a trainwreck....but apart from that, everything's alright !

So how goes it in yours, the most northern of the hemispheres ?

Right, what's wrong with your life now? (you may have mentioned it in one of those ludicrfously long journal conversations I don't read because they always have hundreds of new posts...)

Everything AOK up here- got an exam in about an hour, listening to the Aussie open tennis on the radio, went to the h2g2 meet about ten days ago and got quite, quite, horifically drunk, got utterly mashed in more ways than one on new-years-eve-eve, got very drunk in Scotland at christmas- I think that about fills in the gaps since I last spoke to you...

Ahhh...so you've pretty much been....drunk...these last few weeks...?

Thank God, I thought I was the only one !

Well, things have been mad around here...between my adopted yank, the brother's birthday, my nieces birthday, christmas, my birthday, new year's eve and my sister's birthday, it's pretty much been city down here !

Boys are a hassle, but then they always are...the boy I was kind of "seeing" now has a girlfriend...which suits me because I love him and quite clearly don't deserve him ...the yank has been travelling back and forth and always ends up on my doorstep at 2am...and the man I have been in love with for the past few months (but would never touch because he was involved with someone) has split up with his girlfriend...

...apart from which I have two girls making moves on me...

And that's about the gist of it

er, yes, it's all making sense- your life still resembles an australian soap opera- only a good one, rather than neighbours, hoem and Away or Sons and Daughters.

I've been thinking about writing a book on my life, but I don't know if anyone would believe it ...

...Oh well, it's Thursday at least...meaning tomorrow's Friday...which means ...and !!

I'm strangely unsurprised.

Isn't it Australia day soon? And hence more ale...

Aye, it was Australia Day yesterday...rest assured many a was consumed...purely out of love for this country...

Last year, i got plastered on Australia Day- I ended up wearing a very silly hat after a little too much VB.

There's no such thing as "a little too much VB"...as long as you're still conscious...and not talking to Ralph on the porcelein phone , you're still good to drink !!

But thank you for sharing our happy day with us ...rest assured if you ever, ever have a special occassion that requires someone in the Southern Hemisphere to get drunk, I will be here for you !!
