Ah, to be working with the morally upright and ethically clean.....I envy you.
Around here it is like trying to wrestle sharks and pirranhas (sp?) in your pajamas.

Wow, am I working with the morally upright and ethically clean??
Here I was thinking I was surrounded by pious jugmental hypocrites !!
And I must admit, I've never tried to wrestle any kinds of vicous fish...especially in a nightie......

Ahem....please, we've only just met....
Only in the mind of a guy could that sentence turn into a fantasy of wet nightie wrestling images...well I suppose some girls as well...

Yeah...I can see it...but not fish...not sharks and pirahnas in any event...but then, different strokes for different folks, eh ?
On that note, I'm off to grab a sandwhich - viva lunch time!!

Before you ask....
... it's not irrelevant, it's a Hippopotamus.
A bold Hippopotamus was standing one day
On the banks of the cool Swhalimar
He gazed at the bottom as it peacefully lay
By the light of the evening star
Away on a hilltop, sat combing her hair
Was a fair Hippopotami maid
The Hippopotamus was no ignoramus
And sang her this sweet serenade:
'Mud, Mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me, follow
Down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud'
The fair Hippopotama he aimed to entice
From her seat on that hilltop above
As she hadn't got a Ma to give her advice
Came tiptoeing down to her love.
Like thunder the forest re-echoed the sound
of the song that they sang when they met
His inamorata adjusted her garter
And lifted her voice in duet (in Russian)
(in Russian, DS sings, MF translates -->
'Mud, Mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me, follow
Down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud'
There to improve our cultural relations
The bold Hippopotami began to convene
On the banks of that river so wide
I wonder, now, what am I to say of the scene
That ensued by the Swhalimar side?
They dived all at once, with an ear-splitting splosh
Then rose to the surface again
A regular army
of Hippopotami
All singing this haunting refrain:
'Mud, Mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me, follow
Down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud'

Have I ever told you I have a bizarre hippopotamus fixation?
Hippopotami & drummers...and red heads...these are the things in life I am strangley drawn to...
...so YAY the poem, I may very well send it on to my friends and loved ones (or, closer to the truth, friend and loved one ).
Anyway...how the hell have you been?

Fine indeed, since I am taking a week off to recover from commercials and ad agencies. btw, the poem is a song by the incomparable but sadly deceased comedy duo of Swann and Flanders. They had a lot of animal songs but that is my favourite. Google them for more I guess.
So if I was a hugely overweight, red headed drummer?
How the hell are you?

A song? Excellent, they may have to play that at my wedding ...the only other song I have set for the wedding so far is "White Wedding" by Billy Idol ...now all I gotta do is find a boy (although at this point in time it's more a matter of deciding )...
Sorry, did I forget accents? I have an accent fixation so you're definitely in with a chance...
My life is very bizarre these days...I've been trying to explain it to everyone seperately...but it takes ot long...I may have to put it into the journal ...

A boy...or a girl...whichever works
(She's not talking to me anymore...because I suppose in the absence of a boy, I got to be the a*sehole...)
I'm just gonna duck out for some lunch, I'll be back soon !

Be gone when you are back. Take heart though, you have a fine, happy, generous soul. Whoever is with you eventually will be a lucky person.
