Personal info?
Not to get too personal, but I'm a proofreader out if Indianapolis, Indiana. I have a Bachelor of Music degree (clarinet, a bit of piano, a smidge of sax, and I can hit a baseball 200 feet with a good flute) from Ball State University (no jokes, please) in Muncie, Indiana. I minored in philosophy, which is a good thing to do when you major in music, just to make sure that you have no marketable skills once you graduate. I'm looking forward to making a fool of myself in the Guide.
I declared My Space in h2g2 on January 15, 2003. I really wish that computer screens could be round, because now that I have this space, it is always rectangular. My other rectangular space is my cubicle. I don't like my cubicle space very much, but I hope to like my h2g2 space. But, hey, at least this screen isn't a boring gray.
I have two children, both sons, Jason -- born June 29th, 1999 -- and Duncan -- born December 28th, 2002. As luck would have it, Duncan was born exactly on Jason's half-birthday. On a cosmic scale, I'm sure it means absolutely nothing. It doesn't really mean anything on a local scale, either. But, you never know . . .
I am an aspiring writer. I'm also perspiring and respiring. Pretty much everything but inspiring. (Does that make me outspiring?) With a full time job and now a newborn, I haven't had all the time I have wanted/needed to actually do any writing. I have yet to get anything much past the great idea stage. But I have a really large and cluttered great idea stage. Now I just have to draw back the curtain.
