Music and Words
Music is my thing, even though I bring in some cash by working in engineering. I train customers and they are always appreciative so it's a pleasant job.
Lately I'm investigating, discovering and immersing myself in: Mahler, Prokofiev and Sibelius.
I love Yes, Simply Red, Kate Bush, Suzanne Vega, Pink Floyd, Santana, Coldplay etc etc.
I play classical guitar plus rock/jazz when in the mood. I do home recording of my own compositions.
I live in Cheshire with wife and three kids.
Suddenly, all of the above have discovered THEY want to be musical too, so the house is a SONIC DEATH-TRAP. We've got simultaneous cornet, guitar, clarinet and recorder practice!
Reading: Dickens, CS Lewis, Brontes, Tolstoy, Tolkien, Stephen Donaldson and Frederick Forsyth.
Other interests include religion (well, not exactly an interest - I'm a Christian so it's more like an integral part of me). Bird watching is a developing past-time too - I caught this from my wife. Apart from that I guess it's net-surfing, cinema-going and eating out.
I look forward to being involved with h2g2 and wonder why I haven't joined before now! Let the research begin.
