I know where you mean, but I have looked there. I found the metal stick, that I used to unlock the lid of the tapeplayer down there. I can't see where a battery could be hiding.

try tucking in the corners.

okay.
bring up the view of the big red wall at the end of the room the yelow cabinet should just be visible on the right
look to the floor you should see in the corner of the room a sort of red pillar
I find clicking on the small patch of blue carpet at the foot of the pillar.
What you are looking for is trapped behind the bed.
