Yeah. I've heard that! I'm having a look round at some rental properties next week, some of which are in Kenilworth.

Kenilworth, Kenilworth. You should check out my Entry on the place. It's at A702956 and might be of interest to you. It appears to be a nice enough place to live really, and the buses into Coventry aren't all that bad - although it takes an age [30 mins] to get round the University of Warwick first.

One piece of advice though - check http://www.kenilworthonline.co.uk/ - click 'local news' and search for 'station' and 'airport'. The airport noise potential isn't the major problem, but those with sensitive ears should watch the area mentioned regarding the rail station.

There isn't one, but they want to build one. Access is easy by buses 12, 112 from Coventry Station, and from Leamington Spa town centre (top of The Parade on the Tesco Metro side - 10 mins walk from the railway station -) X14, X16, X17, X18 buses stop in Kenilworth town centre.
