Me!!

I suppose I should actually put something on this page that isn't just the introduction to H2G2 that has been here since I joined.
My name is Julie and I'm a scientist . Phew, that was tough. I admit it, I'm a nerd . Aged 12 I decided that studying science was brilliant and 14 years, a leaving certificate, one degree and a PhD later I'm still at it.
Biology is my chosen field and I currently work on anti-malarial drug development, an unusual topic for a pasty Irish girl working in Dublin perhaps but the world is a strange place.
Anyway, if you have managed to remain concious through this and still want an association with a freckly nerd then fire away and leave a message.
I should warn you though, I'm a junior black belt in Black Dragon kickboxing and played defense in Gaelic football (there are several entries on that particular war substitute).
Anyway, bye ;)
