...because the resorative power of ale works wonders. Dammit, may even have to go to work tomorrow ( "well, if you must go to work tomorrow, well if I were you I wouldn't bother, for there are brighter sides to life, and i should know, because I've seen them, but not very often").
I disagree. There are many brighter sides, including( and i sense a Top Ten here..)
1.Dancing to the Smiths (last done..New year's day, me and caz to derision of rest of party)
2.The view from the banks of Derwentwater.
3. The feeling when you break up at the end of the summer term knowing you've got six weeks off to piss away.
4.Lancashire Cheese with Red Onion.
5. The thrill I sadly still get from playing with the electric windows in my typically teacher car,
6.New York, New York (a wonderful town , the Bronx is up and the Battery's down)
7. The cute smile on a cat's face.
8.Snorkelling on the Great barrier reef ( even those of us who can't swim.
9.Salsa ( dance, not relish).
10. Cheap ale from Aldi and Lidl.

not that I'm hypocondriac...

..but I'm convinced that the cause of my vomiting and headache this morning is not the bug that is currently cutting a swathe though our school ( as would be logical) but is rather tetanus, or at the very least cat scratch fever: I have at least a quarter of the symptoms for each one, according to some rather handy websites I found.
Splendid shopping trip on Sunday: shopping whilst still drunk from the night before is definately good for the economy.
Anyway, if it IS tetanus, and I die tragically young(ish), i want the following to happen at my funeral:
Songs: Sleep (the Smiths)
Smile (the Supernaturals)
I've Got a Match (They Might be Giants)
Burn baby Burn(Ash)as the coffin trundles down the conveyor belt.
Poemto be read by Bernie, he's such a wannabelovey)The Road not taken(Frost)
Flowers: truck loads, please, this is MY moment
Dress Code:Floaty Chintz
Enigmatic single red rose and message: courtesy of Underwear Steve
Wake: Cocktails, Rioja, real ale and pizza(and Battenburg cake)
Cats: indifferent
