Jazzedupcurry asked me to stop and say hi
I'm Karen.
It is always nice to meet new people here
I'm a nutty old lady from Northern Saskatchewan. I've got a bazillion kids, one grandson, and some really odd farm animals. My , Stinky, is infamous here. I wrote an article on him for the , called "Broken Dog".
I am in a relationship with an RCMP Officer, whom I refer to here as . He can be a bit of a butthead at times, but I really love him
Feel free to stop by and chat anytime.
I look forward to hearing from you
lady Karen

Thanks for the note.
I loved the small dragon icon and the smilies.
Got a Dragon for Christmas and hope it will provide me with much needed 'Dragoness Power'.
Northern Saskatachewan. Hmmm. I've only been to South and South-Central Saskatchewan, because (LOL!) that's where the highway took us! I spent a lot of time in Northern BC, though.
I have kids, dogs (plural) and husband (singular).
Friends in the RCMP have clued me in to life 'on the grids' but most of them are now settled somewhere since The Force (sounds like Star ars, doesn't it?) stopped doing the obligatory every four years transfer, here, there and most especially Somewhere-in-Saskatchewan! I swear almost every friend I have who has been a 'member' has done at least one 4 year tour in Saskacthewan.
I often wondered if it was an acquiescent requirement that all members of the RCMP had to do to Saskatchewan at least once in their career.
Anyway, I'm off now to power down for the night.
I'll find you later,
J.

has been here almost 9 years, and the Force is pushing for a transfer.
I would hope he would take me, but there is talk of him going to NWT!
I just had to fall in love with a cop I waited all of my life to find him, and I don't want to lose him
Hi Karen
Jetsammingalong Posted Jan 27, 2003
I just got back to Hg2g so I'm still trying to keep track of who I talked to last.
Awwww, NWT? It really isn't that bad up there, but I'll bet you're all settled and such where you are. 9 years is a long time and I would think it would be hard to separate if he gets transferred up North.
I'm laughing Karen ... "I Am a Government Employee". In the hearts of most Americans that would worry a person, but I'm a Canuck, some of my family work for The Government and so did I for a while.
Anyway, I'm off to go try and find the last conversation I had with someone, but I don't remember her moniker!
Later?
J.

Federal Government Employee = Postmaster Assistant in small village
I just got the job, and will only be working casually
I actually just moved to the farm we are on in October. We were in a slightly different area, but the forest fires got the best of that place. No, seriously, I had to move for safety reasons that had nothing to do with the fires last year. My ex-husband had this thing for wanting to shoot me. I am closer to now though.
and I have almost made it to our 1 year anniversary. March 5 is the actual date. He and I are not able to live together at the moment, but are working toward it.
We've got about 40 pigs, 80 , 25 s, 4 ducks, a goose, two s, 5 s, and a playful donkey named Monty. And I keep forgetting about the cow.
I have seven of my own kids, and has two. My oldest daughter has a son. (I think I told you some of this before, didn't I?)
It's actually 2am here. I am having difficulty sleeping at the moment, and decided to stop in and check on people. I might be a little absent in the awareness department.
Well, talk to you soon.

Sorry I took so long getting back. I've been on a writing jag lately and Jazzn popped by a newsboard I read occaisionally and mentioned 'handcuffs' (sorry, not very great at using smileys and stuff) has gone.
I'm so sad to hear that. It is so very tough to end a relationship and especially one that is obviously dear.
Do you still have the farm, then? And your job as post-master-mistress? I read that in your last entry and laughed because one of my favourite characers is a Rita Mae Brown character called "Harry" aka Mary Minor Haristeen and she is the Postmistress of Crozet, West Virginia.
And yes, there actually is a town called Crozet and a Southern General by that name and "Harry" lost her love, too. He was foolin' around with Boom-Boom Craycroft. Harry didn't scratch Boom-Boom's eyes out, though. Southern Women, I am starting to realize understand maleness in a way that I don't. And for each other too.
I hope this finds you a bit better and I will pop back in to say 'hi' more frequently after the writing jag is a bit less consuming.
I've found that my favourite type of solace is a great cup of coffee and watching the sun come up, because no matter what, the sun will come up and shine (or beam through murky clouds) on another day.

Hi, J~
Thanks for writing
I'm actually awake at 3:30am, checking on the . We have had a couple of baby in the past few days, and I have to get up to check them every couple of hours, to see if any more are arriving.
I could really use a night of uninterrupted sleep
With this thing, I don't know what will happen. All I know is that I'm devestated. My soul mate should be with me, not apart from me.
I won't lament on that. I think I have alienated many people doing that.
So, I hope you're doing well, despite the writing jag. Try not to get cramps! Get up and walk around for a bit if you need to.
Well, I had better get back to bed. 6am comes early these days
Karen

Just a quick note. SheeP or is the SleeP, do you have enough of both now?
As for alienatng me, Huh! G'head, talk and cry all you want. I'll stick around now that I've found two easy conversations just by logging on.
You should see some of the shite I put up with in a particular cyber-community I habitually go and debate, um, discuss, um, argue in! There are moments when I think ... people say these things in public for God and Everyone to read? Aren't they embarassed to act like such fools? No, apparently not!
Speaking of fools, I create them out of thin air. They are called characters. My greatest moment was when I discovered wordprocessing via a home PC back in the 90's. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! I could type as fast as I wanted and write what I wanted and everything was correctable with a backspace and an over right. All ten of my arthritic fingers were singing sometimes after hours of typing, but hey, I still got to write my stories.
I only get writers cramp doing grocery lists now. Other cramps, well, they come with age, I've discovered. I am really, really glad when I was young I built up strong muscles. I'm still fairly flexible so I don't cramp up much.
Hope this finds you having had a good sleep.
J.
