Just a note to Welcome you to the ranks of the ACEs (sorry I can't do all those fancy letters)

When I started I found <./>A573833</.> So you Want to be a good Ace - to be a really good place to start as it sets out the "conventions" that we use.

I have made a "Hints and Links for New Researchers" page at <./>A719840</.> you are more than welcome to use it at any time for your Welcomes if you find that it’s useful.

Also, in case anyone hasn't mentioned it - if you run into any new researchers who come up as another site besides hootoo (Sense of Place etc) just check with an old ACE before welcoming them - other new ACEs have made that mistake - not a problem - but better to know before you start.

is a page to bookmark -- it shows all the h2g2 newbies (we should only ace h2g2/360 newbies) who registered in the past year, have activated their personal space but haven't had any postings to it.

h2g2/360 Newbies, how do you tell the difference between them and others from elsewhere?

If you use that link above you'll only see h2g2 and 360 users.

The 360 users come up in a different skin or, if you scroll to the bottom of the page you can tell from which community they came (it's on their Guide Entry list) - there's a greeting you can use for 360 users at A726419

Yes thank you. I just wasn't sure of the difference, and now that lets me know. I used the page above last night, to greet my first Newbie. I couldn't believe the buzz I got from it. You have been a great help too.
