ok, as most of you know, i was doing my radio show again this weekend

none of you tuned in though, and i can tell cos we got a little meter that registers when someone is listening via the net

but i thought i'd write a report anyway so you can see what you missed

Sunday 20th December 2003

2100 - 0000

a slow start due to nearly a years absence, quite expected and anticipated by many as my adaptive skills can be quite amusing at times.
Mental Ben managed to break the SMS Messenger service which meant that even if someone was listening they wouldn't be able to TXT us
but we didn't care anyway

all in all a good show. we had a laugh after we loosened up and played some comical tracks and some classic tunes

Monday 21st December 2003

2100 - 2300

only a day apart, but oh so different.

a complete and utter shambles despite my best intentions and efforts.
i invited another friend to join me in the studio along with Mental Ben as he had expressed a keen interest on coming along.

he made me late by completely disregarding the fact i was coming for him in a taxi by deciding that around the agreed meeting time he would go to MacDonalds! so he wasn't where he was meant to be for starters and only informed me when i got to the meeting place.
Then he had the audacity to practically 'order' me to come get him and pay the taxi extra! oh, and he's bringing his mate as well, without even asking me!!

i got out the taxi in the end cos i couldn't see any point of getting charged £1 a minute waiting fee whilst my 'mate' ordered his fries.

so he has a go at me for that cos we gotta wait for another cab now.
he's lucky i am a Virgo and blessed with infinite patience, no really he is
so we get another taxi, one problem though, his mate is still eating his chips and as most will know taxi's don't allow food in the car.
so he starts a big hoohar over that!!

i swear i now have grey hairs that i really shouldn't have yet and i'm not even in the cab to take me to the studio

so we eventually get there, and that is when all my plans go right out the window.

30 minutes of non-stop music later i am still waiting to do a link and introduce ourselves to the imaginary audience in my head. i can't do this as i am getting constant abuse from my friend who has obviously had a few beers and it is only just coming to my attention. that and the fact i have about 1 square foot to move in due to everyone wanting to be where i am trying to organise things

last night i lost my will to try and the show was a complete flop. i did as little an amount of links i could despite constant whingeing from said friend as i knew they would be pointless, directionless and sound worse than the cheese they were making me play.

i mean, Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me!!

HELLO!! i swear i told him 300 times it is a popular rock show not a nostalgia trip for middle aged men who think they can still rebel against the system they rely on.

thank God we had no listeners and thank God it was only a 2 hour show

not only all that but he made the younger DJ's, especially this female one we took over from, feel really uncomfortable with his 'out of place comments'.

he thought he was funny, i thought he was taking the just a bit too much.

he reckons he's coming next week, i reckon i am gonna stay in the taxi.

oh dear

though sunday was the 21st

that just about sums it up then really doesn't it


i got a really good idea about next weeks show that will start it off just right and set the mood to a proper jovial one.

after last nights show it has to be special

compared to last nights show that won't be too hard to achieve

though i do wonder what happened to all the people who said they were going to listen

and phone in?

and send requests?

I'm due on 24th of April, but my bump is well on the way! He has a habit of doing his karate practice just when i get in bedhiiiii-yaaaaaa

I know how you feel little Miss, I was huge with my daughter in fact I used to get asked if I was having twins and she was a night mover too

april, a nice month if you avoid the showers

yep, i am looking forward to starting my 12 hour night shift at half seven tomorrow evening followed by another 12 hour night shift at half seven christmas evening, that leaves me a total of 12 hours between shifts in which i have to get a good 7/8 hours sleep, wake up and get showered, see the family open presents and make myself some dinner before i have to get ready for work and be there.

I had a nice ickle bump with Chloe but this one seems to be taking after his Dad (he's 6"3, & built like a rugby player) i just hope he isn't TOO big, as i'm only planning on using gas & air like i did last time

April 24th is my birhday

If you're feeling that much movement little miss then the baby isnt likely a big one My josh didn't move very much t all..not that i fet anyway..and he was 9 lb 5 1/2 so i guess he didn't have the room! Peope thought i was due or over at xmas (he was due april 20th) cos i looked like mr greedy out of the mr men!(didnt put on anywhere but the bump)

Gas n airs useless..have an epidural ..bliss
