I haven't had access to the TD compilations recently, though they seem to have released a lot of material over the last few years. I like all the Jarre albums, pretty much. I guess "Revolutions" is the low point, as it sounds fairly thin and 'tinny' and I much prefer the richer layered sound.

Actually, listening to May '68 by Vangelis, it is amazing how close some parts sound to "Mythodia". Pretty consistant, that.

I'm not familiar with May '68 (at least I'm fairly certain that I'm not!)
Vangelis does reuse some themes (Chariots of Fire - one of the tracks off Heaven and Hell are almost identical for instance). I have always had a soft spot for Vangelis' music - even Invisible Connections and Beaubourg! I'm always trying to find rare stuff such as Odes and Rhapsody (which he recorded with Irene Papas) or soundtracks - Ignacio, La FĂȘte Sauvage for example.
Some of his pre-Heaven and Hell albums would be nice to get. I do have Earth, The Dragon and Hypothesis, but want the others!

Ignacio is fantastic - well worth getting.
May '68 is all about the student riots in Paris at the time. It basically is recordings from the riots. Lots of gunshots and singing, with V overlaying some melody here and there. He was there at the time, apparently.

I will have to look out for May '68. It sounds familiar - doesn't it have a very long French title as well?

"Fais Que Ton Reve Soit Plus Long Que la Nuit"
Which, I think, means something like "Can you dream for longer than the night?" It is fairly rare though, I think. Good luck with finding it

They had a programme on the Performance Channel about JMJ the other night. It was excellent - interviews with himself, Charlotte Rampling, Michel Geiss, his son and daughter, amongst many others.
It was all to do with his Concert in Moscow (I think it was Moscow!). This was before 2000 so a fairly old programme.
He talked about his parents, grandparents, childhood in Paris and Lyon, his musical life, aims, hopes, etc.
All in all a fascinating programme.

And I missed it! Oh well... it sounds great. I didn't think they made programs like that about jarre et al. They are used a lot - for backing music without credit, but never really filmed themselves.
I saw a fantastic site today, full of pictures from Vangelis' old Nemo studios and of a concert he did in Brussels:

When I get a chance, I'll visit the site.
No, there don't seem to be programmes made on these musicians. At last not in the UK. I think this was actually a French production.
