Well, I think it's a good idea in principle, just too extreme. They should do what they do in Holland and lower the age to 14.

It's probably about 14 you become ready. But you should still be informed of the risks etc.

I got taught all that stuff in year 6 and a bit in year 7 but didn't study it proper in year 7. I was so disappointed about that! That's the only interesting science topic other than brains
