It has been one of those most horrible weeks that face the average homeowner from time to time, this time in the form of plumbing woes.

Each day was a new ordeal as well as a test of patience but in the end all is well and life goes on.

How fares the Blue Bird? Of the last you where fairly cross with me and though our opinions may differ, still it all comes down to a matter of personal opinion. The fact that I am the father of a 14 year and surrounded by juvinial humor makes me a bit more used to such, so I personally didn't find a whole lot of offense in the comments.

And as a miner I can't very well discourage folks from submitting. Regardless of content, the piece was written with more style and flair than a goodly number of the pieces we recieve. Who knows, his next submission may be a masterpiece and that is what I try to encourage. One must start somewhere. But that is neither here nor there, water under the bridge and all that.

It sounds as if you are being tortured by the same heat wave we were struck with. It's actually quite cool here now, almost unpleasent after the sweltering days, foreing one to wear long sleeve even to keep the goose bumps at bay. Beats sweating though so I'll not complain over loudly smiley - winkeye

That is a very great pleasure for me!smiley - biggrin
But me: went away with big ambition and worked all week-end very hard with a Chief-Editor from BBC Collective! smiley - ta

It was a very good solution to beat the heat! Because I was locked up with A/C: I could sit still with PC! smiley - brrThinksmiley - snowball

Yeah, there is a great big collective work going on with the title:
"Badass" ( Just an abbriviation) I invite you to go over with a click of a mouse to the neighbor Forum for lot of goodies. Just look for members collaboration in "Badass"

Here is also gotten cooler with the price of nasty T-storms. One telephone went and total shut down PC. But here was very little trouble comparing other parts of North-East.

The month of August did some record temps, record unpleasant things.
So than back to continue life here and there. I had my share of annoing things with painting inside, now I have to hire somebody who will fix it.
OK than, it's all right, what ever I can forget things, because have no room in my "bird's head" for grouchy stuff to store.
But also have not much stuff for h2, because Collective treats me for a long time very favorable. smiley - biggrinsmiley - cool
I can learn: say a lot with little or few!
I'll show you and I will post may be tomorrow!
But also have to hire somebody ( spanish guys) to fix the garden from heat demages!
Don't worry: life goes on smiley - cheerssmiley - kiss for coming back to a friend.

Also we have a "vacation" with the very fine weather,
here: gets down into 60ties at night, no heat, no humidity during the day! smiley - eureka
Last chance to do the house repair works before the summer ends.smiley - grr

Suppose your Son is going back to school and Daddy got him a new computer or update what ever: the pleasures to have a growing Son, with growing demands!

I am involved as I said before in Collective, but more enjoyment is in my camera, what is always with me.

Sorry, that I can not send photos only to those who give me an E-mail adr. No, I am not here to bother anybody, only as a visual person get frustrated not be able to show what I really can do!

I can make in the morning when the sun comes up double rainbows and phtograph them. Totally beautiful. Blue bird smiley - laugh

Hi there Spynxxx:
We can not say a word from where we are. Rescue groups from electrical companies already left from New York to the South. Without electricity it is a total disaster.

Here we get enourmus humidity pushed up by the storm, but no rain.
May be by the middle of the week some rain will come. It is so dry everything here that we are afraid to get fires in the fields and wooded aereas.

How is by you? Back to school time, summer is gone. smiley - blue bird smiley - smiley

Hello Blue Bird smiley - smiley

Things have been a bit strange of late, but with a bit of luck life will stabilize and the smiley - earth will spin without wobbling so much smiley - erm

Our weather has been from one extreme to another, too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry. Right now it's absolutly beautiful so I'll not complain and jinx it lest it depart.

My son starts his first day of school this coming Thursday, all ready to be a freshman. Being at the very bottom of the highschool pecking order should certainly teach him humility.

I lived in the hurricane zone long enough to appriciate just whats going on down south, and at the same time be thankful I'm no longer there smiley - sadface

Hope you do get some rain, it's awfully hard on the plants and other critters as well when it gets so dry.

Just overwhelmed with the devastation. This is just too much, think the worst what I have seen. But I turn down the TV after I got the news, because really can get you into a depression. This is the tsunami of US.

Here is no rain, but chocking humidity with temp. in the 80 + F. Quite uncomfortable and so again staying with A/C.

I got involved in a cooperative "art-work" text and illustrations in Collective. Just a click away from h2. It is more for me than h2, because I did quite a few illustrations, and helped with shaping the story. Not finished yet. Title: "Badass" what stands for: Ban-all-demons--- squad six. One word is missing. Anyway it is published every week on Collective for 10 weeks. Than will be finished.

Wish your Son good luck in the coming year, I wonder if he likes to study or something else is more interesting?
I hated school, but now I am thankful for the very strickt discipline
because it helps me in difficulties of life. Thanks to my parents and teachers that I was not spoiled!
I am glad that you returned. smiley - smiley Blue bird smiley - smiley

Those pictures are absolutly fabulous Blue Bird smiley - ok

Your use of color and texture gives so much life to the work, depth and animation captured in a two dimentional plane, pure magic smiley - magic

I had looked before but that was before the last two chapters and real life kinda took me for a loop so I've been rather silent of late.

Thank you for the well wishs on the sons education. He had damn well study with all his might or I shall become quite cross. He has a far above average intellect and that makes getting him to care a real chore at times, the studies just don't grab his attention.

We are working to change that and I believe he is about to live up to his potential and shine like the smiley - star he is.

You know Spinxxx I get involved with other people's problemes IF i could help.
I don't have children, have no regrets. But I do care for others.
(Some atavistic "ape" interest!) Chimps do that if they don't have their own child they do take great interest for other children in the family! That is my case.

I do have a teacher's diploma way back, but never thought because as a designer in the textil industry I made more money and enjoyed doing it.

I remember when I was in school I desperately wanted to be an artist and had no interest in Latin or math. etc.
But as life went on with many difficulties I came to the conclusion that I can do many things because of the discipline I got from those seemingly "useless' studies.
Even as an artist I use the math. I learned, and when I did not speak english i had a lot of use for Latin!!!
Nobody can figure out the future! But I can say: what ever makes a person tough, it can only help.
And it does not come with: HAVING FUNsmiley - sorry Fun comes after hard work, but hard work can be a lot of fun if you can discover what the real fun is?
Labor day week-end was just so faboulus here! Both days I went on photo-walk and made many pictures.
I'll do some Web pages when i have the time.
Thanks for your kind compliments on my pictures.
So than: BACK TO SCHOOL! with smiley - love and luck. Bbird smiley - biggrin

Hello dearest Blue Bird

My eyes have been giving me fits as of late, keeping me from doing much of anything, hootoo or otherwise. Luckily the eye doctor has now given me some brand new design lenses to try and they are already making such a positive impact. With luck things will soon return to normal and I can once again get with the program smiley - ok

A textile designer you say. That explains the artistic aura that radiates from your writing as well as your paintings. I knew that somehow art was the very foundation of your life, though to have a teaching degree as well is really something. Makes me wonder how you could ever consider yourself to be a 'bird brain' at all! Artist, poet, pilot and all around fine human being. That is a lot to accomplish and you pull it off with flair to boot smiley - ok

I agree that without hard work nothing is accomplished in life. I think that it makes one appriciate the end result so much more, regardless of what it is that you are labouring towards. Be it a sport, a work of art or simply the paycheck at the end of the week, all is sweeter when earned by honest effort.

And now it's off to see about getting things back into focus. Enjoy the weekend and I will talk to you soon smiley - run

Hello Spynxxx: sorry about your eye troble. I had more than you could think and working on my PC sometimes was just simply painful.

I had my both eyes operated and now very sensitive to light.
My solutions were: always have a dark background on my screen. Dark blue. I don't look much into the screen, I type looking at the keyboard.
I changed my monitor to a bigger size and that helps a lot.
Using a lot of artificial tears in drops and by now just get used to it.
Long stories I print out, don't read it from the screen.

I use glasses for reading, but into far I don't need it.
See a doctor sometimes, it's OK.

Computer work is hard on anybody, beside the eyes your arm, your hand, your back etc.-----are under stress, and have to relax every half an hour-- if you can.

I am OK, but the present time events in this country makes everybody upset, critical and asking lot of questions. Many things are not true.
People like to say more bad things than good ones. You really don't have to believe everything they say.
But with the rising prices everybody is effected. Some people don't get raises matching inflation and other unreasonable events.
People really can make things more difficult than is necessary.

You might guess I am not a freshly hatched chicken, and with times you gather a lot of useful experiences and the learning process never ends.
My best regards to your Family and wish you well and get better.Bbird smiley - smiley
P.S. You have to learn to relax too. smiley - lovesmiley - titsmiley - smiley

Hello Blue Bird

My eye problems have been solved (for now) by some super new, just on the market contact lenses. They are absolutly wonderful and I am once again a happy camper smiley - magic

Now onto the promotion aspect of this messege. Have you heard that there is to be an election here on hootoo? Yes indeed, we are having a vote and all, just like real life.

As a firm supporter of the AWW and the Underguide we would be most appreciative of your support and vote in the upcomming election. We at the UnderGuide are officially backing Hypatia for the post with Jodan as her running mate. That this is a Pro-Creative writing friendly ticket goes without saying, and being one of those very creative types yourself this is a perfect fit.

There is the added aspect of pestige here as well. You are a much beloved researcher and contributer here on site and your support will go a long way towards adding even more legitimacy to this most worthy platform. And so, I ask that you please go to the Official Campaign Headquarters of the Ozaek ticket and pledge your support.

Simply drop a note at A5645531 and join your voice to those who hold the ideals of the UnderGuide in their heart of hearts. I'm counting on you

It's OK with me about the candidates. I don't know everybody on the list, but whom I know he/she is OK, exept one: that is Z.
Sorry had an unpleasant experience with him, and that is it. smiley - sadface

The rest is fine with me, Waz is a very very nice person in every aspect, You Spinxxx ofcourse you are OK. I know something about Jodan and Hypatia, but personally I never exchanged conversations with them, but have seen some of their writings.

In these days I should make an update on My Personal Page: lately I am involved much more at Collective making lot of illustrations, setting up my pages including Web Pages are in the works.
I am not a writer as h2 people are, visual art is my real field.
The Post was a favored spot for me til Shazz was the editor. But after she left I did not contribute anything, found the leadership inadequate for handeling issues.

I wish to remain a member in h2, don't know what the future brings, but my PC available time is absorbed presently at Collective. Our big work of "Badass" will be finished soon, I don't know what else is planned by the "gang" smiley - smiley but certainly the Collective style is closer to me than h2's grammar and spelling problems et cetera not to mention GML.smiley - grr

But as you see I come around to talk with few friends but had no inspiration for lenghty wordly works lately. Just speak 1000 words easier in pictures.
Thanks for writing, happy to hear that your eyes are doing well.

Thank you for your support Blue Bird, you've backed the right candidates.

As to knowing everyone, I must confess that many are new to me as well. But that is ok, maybe there are new friends to be found in such a way.

Never fear, The Post is on the rebound. Shazz's unfortunate health problems left things in a state of flux, but others are stepping in and slowly putting things back to rights. As a matter of fact I see that you have some verse of your on there right now, so you have not been forgotten.

It is good that you can split your time between the two sites, getting the best of both worlds so to speak. Having a place where you can indulge your passion for art is wonderful and the new challenges add spice to life.

But never forget that you are a valued part of this site as well, we would miss you if you were not about spreading cheer everywhere you go.

Now I must run off for some more campaigning but I shall talk to you again soon. And I shall drop by to see the continuing saga of 'Badass' as well over at your other home.

Till then thank you for your vote of support, but most of all thank you for just being you smiley - hug

Hi my dear Friend: Spinxxx: happy to "hear" that my little note had favorable "reception".
Today I spent lot of time on my PC contstant E-mail back and fort with the Editor: Copper-Top with whom to work is a sheer pleasure.
He writes, edits and illustrate this very enjoyable collective work of "Badass". There are more members working on this also.
Soon will be finished.
I'd like to get on my Web pages, because they are hanging in cyberspace unfinished.

It is good to "hear" about your enthusiasm, that is very much needed in h2, and generally everywhere. People tend to fall into a boring rutine and to get them out of their "hung ups" it is not an easy job.
Wish I would know more about you. Though I was not born in an english speaking country, I became very sensitive for proper words and appreciate the fine, educated language like yourself presenting it.
Thank you also for your encouragemet to participate, only the shortness of time gives me the tasks to set prioroties. But will try the best. Blue bird smiley - smiley

Don't worry yourself Blue Bird, I understand priorities all to well. It is enough that you can drop in to chat between working your magic in the world of art. And that is a way for you to take a break as well, keeping that side of expression from becoming stale. As in all things balance becomes essential, and I can think of no finer way to accomplish such smiley - ok

I will happily tell you more about myself when time permits, though my current responsibilities have me running at a rather swift pace. When things slow down I shall go in to as much detail as you like'

Though I am glad you appreciate my use of language it is I who am in awe of the likes of you! I know not what your native tongue may be but I can guarantee that I neither speak nor write it. You on the other hand have my language down both written and verbally, a feat not to be scoffed at and one which impresses me to no end. No my dear, you are far ahead of me in lingustic skills and I applaud you for it smiley - applause

And now priorities force me back to the campaign trail once again. Some are taking it as a farce, but it is for people like you that we as a party are striving for. Thank you for your support as well as your greater understanding of what this is all about.

Your friend,
Brad/Spynxxx

It is a very nice morning here and I wish you as well to U dear Friend:Brad/Spynxxx!

Here is something for U wot U will enjoy: smiley - smiley

The last issue of Collective Newsletter # 168 brought me some surprises. Front page has a macro shot photo ; pansy. From my very first experiments with a new D camera. smiley - biggrin

It's not me: It is the most beautiful perfection of Nature.
No matter how hard a human would try, we never can achive what Nature creates teaching us just be very humble. That is the message in that photo.

The collaborative story of "Badass" coming to an end. Next week should be published the last Episode # 10.
With several illustrations from me you can forgive, that most of my PC time was taken up for that project. smiley - sorry

The weather after some storms but also with some beneficial rain turned to be a little more normal, but still higher temp. during the day.
Want to know my native language: is hungarian, but great deal forgotten having not much opportunity to speak it.

I did also some updating on MY Space. ( September 2005.)
Could you live in peace with an August update in September? Am I the same now than a months ago? smiley - laugh
Have a nice Day: Sunday. Bbird smiley - biggrin

Here is exactly the same situation: ready to go to bed after a very busy day. The weather is so nice, that I am working to have the house repairs done. Hired a man ( he was really a good worker) from Peru. I used to do this in the past years. They don't speak English, I don't speak Spanish, but everything will be done-- only I have to be constantly with them. My time goes with the work only I am just supervising-- showing what and how to do it!!!
Yet is stll very tiring.

Sometimes an apartment starts to look good. No maintinence, no taxes, no yard work...no privacy smiley - sadface

Like you I must stick to the constant fixing and such, the money flowing out of the bank like water in a never ending battle. And don't even get me started on the tax increases smiley - wah

Good help is hard to find, so it's a lucky thing you found a fine worker, language difficulties and all. So many contractors do such shoddy work that it is difficult to really put ones trust in anothers skill.

It has been a strange weather week here, up, down, rain, shine. All kkeep a body tired...at least it does me and so it'll be an early bed time again this night just like the last two. And so it is pleasent dreams I wish for my friend Blue Bird, sleep tight smiley - sleepy

Yes I returned tonight a little later than planned, but I am here.

About the pleasures and problemes with the house? Like everything else with human stuff.
But if you think that an appartment has less troubles? The answer is : you are paying for everything in the form of rent. To own an appartment: No, never.
To find help? Many ways. Advertise and the phone will not stop. Some people come around: I do what ever you give me.( No, that I don't want)Definitely not Contractors eighter.

Here we have a little organization run by the city: mostly South and Central Americans are available more of them than jobs offered. There are always somebody who will do a good work only no speak English! But again: no waste of time for useless chattering.

As you see: I am content what is going on here. Yes, would be nice to have more money to have everything done spick'n span, but no complaints as it is now. Privacy = Superb.

Finally: Thank God is friday. Hope to have a good week-end for everybody, but pray for the South! Breaks our hearts! G'nightsmiley - sleepy
