You know Traveller in Times: measuring time is a human invention.
So may be there is time or no time, this is only for us humans lost in the Univers( for me sometimes in h2g2) that is why is good to have a guide and if you make an appointment you must have a TIME to tell you what to do when the TIME comes I can be really a Wau-Mau BUT Blue Bird is my real h2g2 name and I am very happy was originated @BBC! mY RESEARCHER # IS 211101 it was that loooooooooong Time ago!

Even if you forget the password you should still be able to log in. There's an option to get your password sent to your e-mail address.
waumau Posted Jun 23, 2009
Thanks Gnomon. You are very kind, but the h2g2 "deleting" team is standing strongly about "deleting" stuff what ever that be!
I also was working in Collective : the interactive magazine which was shot down because of monetary shortness, but they still have an archives running as " The Best of Collective".
I don't know if h2g2 has an archive perhaps about those lost souls wondering in Cyberspace?
Unfortunately this is ( in my opinion) counter productive because certainly will not put in much effort to create valuable
properties eventually to the wastebasket content to be burned.
What about the password? Every single day there are millions of password lost, yet even serious companies dealing with large amount of money like PayPal--- don't make big deal out of it. In seconds you have an other password.
Enjoy your Summer in Dublin where is Summer. We still waiting to see something about it and we passed the Summer Solstice couple of days ago!
Thanks again. The real Blue Bird mascarading as waumau now.

Nothing is ever deleted from h2g2. And you can get back your old password on h2g2 by getting the site to e-mail it to you.
waumau Posted Jun 28, 2009
Thank you Gnomon! I will look into it when I get a little time. I was in touch on e-mail with them, but they were not so promosing.
Anyway an other subject: I found your BIRD PHOTOS the other day!
They are really great. Now I remember that in the past my attention turned to you through photographs you made. Yeah, in compareson with other "pics" I found your photos the best!
I wonder what kind of a camera you use? How far were you from the birdfeeder taking those photos?
I have a "bird-sanctuary" since long time and I learn a lot from the birds. Also feed a bunch of squirrels and at night raccoons! ( So the neighbours don't know about it.)
In the suburbs it is possible to support wildlife, I am not the only one.
Thanks again. Blue Bird/now wamu til it clears up.

I've a Canon PowerShot S3 IS. It's a more elaborate camera than the usual digital snap camera, but not as big and expensive as a digital SLR. It has two features which make it very good for taking birds - it has a very powerful zoom, the equivalent of a 35 - 350mm lens on a standard SLR, giving 10 magnifications; and it has software that eliminates camera shake, so if you joggle the camera slightly, it doesn't matter. Both of these are essential if you want to get close to the birds. Those "feeder" pictures of the goldfinches were taken from 30 feet.
waumau Posted Jun 29, 2009
Great! Thanks for the info Gnomon.
No wonder about the quality of the pics. That is a pretty good camera. And if you had that shot from 30 feet that is really very satisfactory.
Birds and generally wildlife photos should be taken from a "blind" as they call it that you are hiding so the animals can not see you but you can be pretty close to the "objects".
I never had a set up like that-- yet. Only read about it.
I would be really ready to get a new camera. Have a Nicon the first dig. camera Don't have the quality of yours, but have published pics in Collective until BBC could afford it.
I am also with Flickr ( BlueBirdfun) but did not get involved, just looked into it.
Just too busy with so many thing, one can do only so much.
h2g2 could have a SPELLING addition! have to write on Word and copy/paste to avoid the spelling problems. Cheers!

Unfortunately there are some texts in my h2g2 communications what has errors in them, but I can not delete them. Just have to ask: please disregard those texts if it was deleted. Sorry, but I don't think in conversation is possible to make corrections when is posted. This is the only way I can help: My apology and disregard. Thanks. Bb/wamu
