Unblocking a Mobile Phone.

I am trying to unblock Mk2s mobile phone, so that she can be on the same cheap network as I am on, as its only 8p a minute to all networks and land lines and 4p a text!
So I found this sire called "Unblockitfree" and went through filling out four pages of information and giving the IMEI number, only to be asked on page page 5 to pay for the unblock code
I mean, why call it "unblockitfree" when they know dam well that they are going to charge you
The worst part of it all, is that her phone is quite a modern one, compared to mine, and I just know that they will charge me around £15-£20 for unblocking it
My one only cost me £6 to do, and I must admit, I use it a lot more than I did before, knowing that its a fraction of what I was paying with that old Network.
Then today while I was shopping in ASDA, I noticed that they are selling phones that are already unblocked, so all you have to do is put their Sim card, and you are off
So, now I must think about either unblocking her phone, or buy one which is already unblocked, and there was me thinking that everything was easier now in this new digital age

i dont use or like moblies, but have seen most shops in my town, with a notice to say they unblock phones, for x amount, if this helps. not having or using a mobile, when i was in a shop in town, that also as a mobile shop attached, i was curious what, unblocking was, so asked, and he said most major phone shops unblock any phone.

I use my mobile ofter for texting now that I finnaly have one but I'm still ot good with them ... infact I only text because my phone the alias 2 has magic buttons that change from #s to letters and even to other stuff so I can use it like a keyboard or a key pad

if and i say if, the mobile phone had been used as it was inteneded, and not for such as kids, to drive you nuts with music on the bus, mothers to give them to a child to play the iritating ring tones, ie the crazy frog. and something better than the text in code.then i miht have tryed having one, for the reason it would be handy if i take bad in the wrong place.

but it became more a pain and toy to many. jimbob

that one is usually considered annoying ... but you can find some good ones on that site too. or you can make your own such as my anime ringtones for the different OPs for sayonara zetsubou sensei(Goodbye Mr. Despair) by the way the site phonezoo is a U.S.A. operated site as far as I know so people in the UN might not be able to use it ...

Hey! thanks for all your replies, the phone is presently with T Mobile and I want to change it to ASDA the same as my one
There are shops which can do it, but the couple I have tried wanted way too much for doing it!!
I have a good ring tone on mine, it sounds just like the old phone ring we used to get back in the 70s, a proper phone ring
It snowed here today as well. I just use my phone to keep in touch with Mk2 when I am out of the house, usually shopping.

Aye! XS, I will probably end up paying for it in the end, as all the web sites that offer "free unblocking" always end up charging you
