Oh, dear Smudger, I do understand how you feel but honestly I don't think violence is the answer, and if anything happened as a result what would Mark II do without you
Can't your local Councillors do anything? i must admit ours are very good so we are lucky.
The dog by us is bad when they leave it, especially outside in their yard (too small to call a garden!) and they are two houses away. It has a loud penetrating 'yap' which can be heard above music or tv. Fortunately it doesn't happen so often now. When they use the 'zapper' collar we don't hear from it
Take care,

No the council are doing nothing about it at all, apart from sending us forms to fill in with times and dates, which we have been filling in for 4 years now!!
Even the council dog warden has taken the side of the dog owner
We have no where to go now, as even the police say they cant do much and that its the councils job
Maybe they will take more action, once I have settled it once and for all

I saw it XS, and left you a wee note
BTW, a representative from the council environmental heath department came to see us a few days ago, after I had phoned and told them to come right away, as the dog had been left alone next door and it was howling as well as barking, anyway "She Heard It", and has now promised to actually do something, at last
So, we are both hoping.........

Well I would have thought so, but we got a letter from her today relating to a phone call we had with her on 3/12/07 asking for more proof, so when I phoned her office to say that she had since heard it for herself, I was told that she in on holiday for 2 weeks!!
So, nothing can be done until she returns

I called them again today, as our neighbor went out at 08.30 and left the dog barking & howling non stop until he came back at 13.30
So I phoned the boss, and he told me that things were in motion, as that woman who came a week ago had submitted her report, in which she said that she heard it for herself and had talked to the other neighbours, who had backed us up
So maybe after all these years, things will happen
