So it's apparently here on friday the 13th....now is that gonna be an omen ?
Yoomedia took over e-district many months ago and promised their customers a 'brand new innovative' service that would be 'like no other' lol.
Well if the chat hosts on yoome2 are anything like the ones on LD then it won't take long before I'm given the 'red card' lol.
I hope the new thing is a success and everyone using it finds they can really enjoy it but somehow I feel it's all one big scam to make more profits for all concerned and I for one will be looking elsewhere.

. Apparently its NOT starting on the 13th due to a 'techincal hitch'! tee hee. I bet those chat hosts don't half feel stupid???? rotflmaopmk

The stuff they've come out with has been unbelievable to say the least !
I've come to the conclusion that these chat-hosts should be barred from public chat because all they ever do is make 'statements' and never answer any question which they find 'unsuitable' shall we say !

I think you are being unnecessarily cruel, and particularly stupid about the whole thing...they are only doing their job, and passing on the information they have been giving. Whining and griping about the whole thing...? Grow up.

To answer questions with reference to 'Yoome2' chat site!

Sadly,The chat-hosts could have quite simply directed the vast majority of their 'replies' to relevant questions BUT sadly (for them) they continually became involved in immature comment with users.
If they had spent the invaluable time they had with LD it could have been put to 'better use'.
It has now become clear that the chat hosts,yoomedia and Telewest have led their customers right up the garden path !

It's nothing to do with the chathosts...they just relay the information. You aren't that dim are you??

If You have a representative from your company on a chat site to put across THEIR views with regards to a new system you would think that the least they would do is answer questions with regards to the new site would'nt you?
What's the point of yoomedia informing people that their so called 'customer service' reps are there to answer relevant questions when all they ever did was to avoid them!

What you should do is talk to them directly and listen to what they have to say because you're coming across as ignorant of the facts!

mmmmmm... ok... but they also represent LD/yoome2... and in this case they are/were yoome2 spokepersons...

the information they relayed was incorrect the first time... then the second time... then...

sorry but yoo"we've been listening to you"media has shown from the start how much they think of their users...

might not be fair to laugh about the members of their staff but from what i understand from messages/emails i've got from some LDers their staff haven't be fair either to the users...

and yep they do seem to avoid embarrassing questions and sure don't accept criticisms about yoome2 and the whole sad affair... even in the library some peeps have found their quotes being refused because they dared criticising the new administration...

so me thinks we can have a good laugh about yoome2 and those who work for them at times... might be childish or cruel but it sure feels good...

and yep... based on some of last months events, we can wonder about the quality of service that will be provided by yoome2 and their staff [including chat hosts/mods/governor] in the near future...

Well considering I spent the whole month of September, and a little more talking to the yoome2 reps, then I feel pretty qualified to talk on the subject.

First of all, all the people complaining about their questions not being answered in the chatroom were fools. They did not seem to understand how the chat facility worked, or missed messages because they weren't updating fast enough, couldn't read, or didn't read the original FAQ in the beginning. Secondly, the chathoasts answered all questions when possible. If they don't have the information, or did not have reliable information, they did not give it out. It is not their fault when things change or go wrong, or are incorrect. People are taking any minor chance they can get to slag them off.

It's also a well known fact that on LD you are not allowed to question authority. You don't like it? Don't use the site. It's a family site, and as any intelligent oerson knows, family = censorship.

You are all acting so unbelievably abhorrant, I now know why I rarely use LD. Grow up and get a ing life. I'm fed up of you lot and your whining.

The question never has been(in my case)of just the information supplied or relayed by chat hosts!
I accept that they only 'pass on' the information supplied by the 'powers that be' and most of the time I can imagine that it was as frustrating for them as it was for everyone!
My argument was always whether they would supply a better service on a pay-per-chat format?
I doubted them then and I doubt them now!
I always posted reasonable and direct questions to the yoomedia people and yes sometimes got reasonable replies however they as a company have misled people with the info supplied and have now decided their best policy is to go into hiding!
Maybe you and yoomedia sing from the same hymn sheet......the commom denominator being complete and utter arrogance!
