Hey Tonto.....

I have a question about etiquette. Is it expected that I will respond to all replies to my posts? Would it be considered rude if I left someone hanging, so to speak? If there was a plethora of replies to my post? This is a hypothetical question of course. Not that I'm expecting to get bombarded or anything, hehe, just trying to keep informed.

Tecnically it is up to you whether you reply or not. If someone asks you a direct question, they may be waiting for an answer but other than that people can be away from h2g2 for days, weeks or even months at a time so it isn't considered rude if you don't reply. Maybe you had missed the post or had been away from h2g2.

The longer you are on h2g2, the more threads you get involved in and the harder it is to keep up with the backlog. My advice is not to worry, just reply to what you want to. The beauty of h2g2 is that you choose who you speak to
