Final Hootoo entry?
Posted Jan 15, 2004
Well, it's looking likely. I do lurk around from time to time but I can't keep up with the amount of access I have now. guys, I'll miss you all dearly. If you want you can email me [email protected] - please tell me who you are in your message (otherwise I won't know lol)
Quick life update though, before I go...
I got into the pool at Cambridge and was then REJECTED lol so I should be going to Nottingham (), Southampton or Sheffield. But to do that I need to work hard, which is why I can't stay online much... and the school has decided that I should be in a position of authority and so I haven't got much choice but to spend hours at school which I would normally spend on Hootoo.
I may be around from time to time....
guys
Thanks for a great year and a half. It's been emotional.
Don't forget me!

Just Popping In!

Hey guys, tis I, the oft absent Lou. Well it's looking like I'll be absent for a bit longer but I thought that you might be missing me (unlikely ), so here is an update on my life.
Well I've applied to read Geography at Cambridge, Durham, Nottingham, Sheffield and Southampton. So Far I've got an interview at Cambridge (9th December) , AAB at Durham, a big mix up at Nottingham (they've swapped my course, but haven't told UCAS), BBB at Sheffield and ABB at Southampton. Which is nice.
If I get an offer at Cambridge I think Southampton will be my reserve... It looks fab, great course
Hmm, what else is happening in my life. Well I got my predicted grades - 4 A's - and my current achievement grades - 3As and a B (In English). But consider up to a month ago I didnt understand a word of Paradise Lost, methinks a B is quite good!
I'm still single but on the prowl...
I miss this place a lot but I have SO MUCH WORK! If I'm on MSN tell me off, I should be working. Well thats what I get for doing 4 subjects. But hopefully I "won't have to" take one of the exams in the summer if I pass this one in Janurary, means I have one less exam at least.
Ooooh I just finished my media project, made a music video, it was GREAT! We finished a day before the deadline (which was FIVE DAYS of shooting and FIVE DAYS of editing!) which is no mean feat! But still, good fun, we figured out between four of us we put in around 80 editing hours in four days. Not bad, huh?
And now I'm onto a new project... TELETUBBIES! Why I hear you cry. Well, why not. I have to do a critical study on CHildren and TV, and Teletubbies just happened to be there and be slightly easier than some... Should be fun.
So if I start speaking Teletubby, ignore me....
Eh oh!
Hehe, had you going for a second there
Or not.
Well, I best be off to write about why I hate multi-national companies, made all the harder by the fact that it's in French. *sigh*
But if anyone has any opinions on The Teletubbies, please please please post and tell me. It would be MUCHLY appreciated!
Byebye!
*hug*

Since I added a journal entry, so I thought I'd update you all. Still single, still a student... still struggling with work.
Still, media finished today (well, the bulk of the practical project) so I'm pleased
Been very lucky lately... won tickets for a VIP screening of The Italian Job (which was fab) and free passes to Holmes Place
Applied for Uni last week... keep fingers crossed for that Cambridge interview
Anyway, if I'm not on much, it's cos of work. Then again, if I am on a lot, its cos I'm trying to avoid work.
Like now.
Lou, loving the autumn collection

THE AS LEVEL RESULTS ARE IN AND....
Posted Aug 14, 2003
I got..
*drumroll please*
4 A's!
SHOCK HORROR
V surprised.
Paper I thought I did worst in, and had never scored more than 55% in before... (media textual analysis) I ended up getting 100%!!!! that's scary.
Might retake a French or Geography module, but nothing is desperate
Cambridge is still on then - a good interview (if I get one) in Dec and *hopefully* Ive got a chance!
Lou
