Just joined h2g2
Hi
I've just recently joined h2g2, and I'm not to sure about what I am doing. So far I've spent ages reading through entries and conversations, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
As this is supposed to be an introduction I think I'd better say a bit about myself.
I am coming up to my half century (does this make me to old for h2g2?)
I am female, been married for 28 years and we have two lovely daughters. I live in Scotland, although I was born in England, I have lived north of the border for 47 years, so I consider myself Scottish.
Talking with friends and work colleagues I've come to the conclusion that I am not a typical female. I don't watch the soaps on tv, and I certainly don't think they are about real people or life, I don't wear makeup and fashion doesn't interest me one bit. I absolutely hate shopping unless it is a book shop or a stationers. I quite like a sweet shop, but other shops, I visit them out of necessity.
I am overweight and generally lazy, I hate housework, including cooking and would rather sit at the pc and browse through the interesting subjects on h2g2 or read a book.
In music I'd rather listen to the music that was produced before the 70s/80s, apart from Queen whom I though were fantastic, my favourite music has to be from the Big Band era and my favourite singer is Bing Crosby.
Thats about it I think.
