Thought I'd leave a message here following on from the conversation forum thingie. To be honest I'm still not sure how this whole thing works, so I just hope that it sort of gets through.

I'm working as a praktikant in Dättwil, just outside Baden in eastern Aargau. Its quite a nice place, as far as towns pretty much dedicated to mechanical engineering go.

How about yourself, where were you based? I must admit I haven't travelled much within Kanton Aargau yet, normally I go to Zürich or into Germany on the weekends.

At the moment its snowing here, and cold enough to make the walk to the bus into a slippery run for the bus, but as places go, there are a lot worse!

Thanks for replying. Wow, Baden, that is a really pretty town. I was based in the villiages Fahrwangen, Sarmenstorf and Villmergen, which are all on the Lindenburg, somewhat south and west of Wohlen. The district is called Freiämt. Basically the area between Muri, Wohlen and the Halwilersee. You should travel in Aargau more often, its beautiful. I heard that they haven't had that much snow in Wohlen recently. That's a shame because there is great sledding on the Lindenburg if the weather cooperates. The towns of Bremgarten, Muri, Brugg, Lenzburg (there's a really cool castle there), Aarau and Seetal are all really pretty and nice to visit.
