My Mother is a Goose
Mary had a little lamb
That was when I was a kid. It's now a full-grown
It's fleece was as white as snow
I must admit, it keeps itself very clean. But still, you have to watch where you're stepping around the house.
And everywhere that Mary went
I mean EVERYWHERE! We even had to enlarge the bathroom.
The lamb was sure to go.
It was cute at first, but it gets to be a pain in the neck after a while
It followed her to school one day
My last day at school, it turns out.
It was against the rules
Can you believe it? There was actually a rule against having sheep at school! Why would they ever think that was necessary?
It made the children laugh and play
Why couldn't they have just ignored it?
To see a lamb at school.
The teacher and principal weren't amused. Kicked us out.
Well, that was years ago now. The lamb has grown up to be a 
and I've grown up to be a...well, a bitter, unschooled young lady. The unschooled part isn't so bad - I've learned quite a lot on my own - but the bitter part isn't so nice. It wouldn't be so bad if I could make some friends. Particularly friends of the opposite sex. But who wants to date a girl who has a sheep trailing around after her where ever she goes?
Don't think I haven't tried. I've made myself as pretty as I can be, and I go to all the village dances. But except for Jack Beanstalk, no one asks me to dance. And he only asks because he had a thing for animals. I even propositioned Little Boy Blue, promising to blow his horn, but he just ran and hid under a haystack, shouting "...and keep that sheep out of the meadow!"
Well, perhaps here I can find a date. I've been invited to a panto!
