My 'puter died that last thing it ran was scandisk, which out of 4 million or so sectors it found 890,000 of them were bad... and then could nether shutdown or startup. I still have access at work happily, and at times I'll be able to use one of the other 'puters in the house, but I'll be about a bit less for a while at least... not that y'all miss me, I trust y'all arwe better shots than that (and I do make a nice big target )

There is three others in the home network, but they're not mine, or in my room so I'll get bits o' time online... if I can find a HD old enough to connect up I should be fine...

I suspect I'll need all the good kcul I can muster to round up something old enough to be compatable.
I may well have to let it wait and get new 'puter. Which wouldn't be a bad plan, apart from waiting, never liked that much... Ahh well could be worse.

New 'puters are good. Even a good second hand one (like mine) can be good, and less expensive than a new one.

My dearly departed 'puter was second hand, it cost the grand sum of nothing, spent a little cash to buy a network cable once we got the home network thing working...
If i do end up getting another 'puter I'll probably go for something decent, I have a friend who owns a 'puter store, and he'll build me somewhat for parts cost, bearing in mind he buys bulk, I'll probably get a better deal that way than I could second hand.

By a strange coincidence this computer cost me a grand total of nothing. It's so nice when you can manage to get a computer for free. I think my kid brother got it forme primarily because he thinks mydaughter should have regular access to a computer. But who am I to complain?

Whatever the rhyme or reason, the result is good
I got mine because my uncles office cleared out all their computer for a complete upgrade, and rather than trash them, they let the staff take them, he didn't need it so it came to me
Can't think of anything to say at the moment, I'll try just writting and seeing if this leads to any thoughts, though as ever I have doubts, it seems to me that I doubt almost anything these days, most especially myself. I would doubt the rest of humanity too, but I'm fairly certain that the majority of people are beyond all reasonable doubt muppets (muppets in my lexicon are foolish or stupid or irrational to some extent, its generally ment as an insult, though not as harsh as the synonyms I have suggested)... I should probably delete this as depressing irrelevent material written at the end of a ten and a half hour shift, but if I do then there is almost nothing left of this post so I'll not. However don't take me too seriously at the moment, I'm not in a happy frame of mind. Hopefuly all will be better on the morrow.

After a ten and a half hour shift I'd be in a pretty bad mindframe too.

a hob you like is much to be prefered over one you dislike.

I prefer anything I like to anything I dislike... I think thats the nature of liking things (though I'm not sure about hob's, you never know they could be the exception that proves the rule... well as an at least vaguely scientiofic mind, the exception that proves the rule wrong... )
