You can change your name by clicking on Preferences - which means you can get rid of tht "Researcher XXXXXX" bit. While you're in preferences change your skin to Goo - it's a much better skin than the new-fangled Brunel that you're in at the moment.
I'm sure that an ACE will be along shortly to welcome you officially. But in the mean time - Welcome
