Sorry I took so long to respond...took me a while to find your post...you playing hide and seek?
Hello stinky
smiler Posted Nov 30, 2004
Nope, I haven't been chatting to anybody tonight....been reading my book and checking back here every now and again...
So, wanna laugh??

Taff??? Where did you get that from??
Ok, Saturday night Leigh and I went out. He was driving so obviously I wasn't. I had a fair few glasses of merlot and it's fair to say I was slightly drunk
I told you I booked a hotel for us? Anyway, we get back after the night out, did the do's and I fell asleep. I woke up and basically lifted my head about 2 or 3 inches to look at the clock to see what the time was.....
Next thing I know, Leigh screams, jumps out of bed and says "i'm outta here! and I hear the hotel door being opened.....
So I shouted out "where are you going"? As I see his white butt running out the door. I looked out after putting a towel around me and he's half way down the corridor. So I go up to him and say, "it's ok love it's only me, come back in the room" and as I do he jumps and wakes up ( all the time his eyes are open) and has no clue why he's there and standing there with nothing on. So he came back inside and I cuddled him up and said, what was that about. He had been dreaming that he was being attacked and when I moved I had startled him and he thought it was me atacking him in his dream and I was going to stab him. He went off to sleep fine and had a great sleep, where as I was awake the rest of the night worring he would do somthing like that again.
He's done things (like) that before and i've been trying to look for something about sleep disorders but I haven't found anything like what he does.

............
I can imagine you not sleeping!! I shouldn't think a sleepwalker would ever hurt anyone but it must be a little scary. Bet the breakfast conversation was lively.
Is "taffy" more correct? Or is it insulting from someone who's not Welsh?
Hello stinky
smiler Posted Nov 30, 2004
Taffy is what it should be, I don't think it's overly insulting but I wouldn't stand in front of a welshman and call him a taff or taffy to be honest.
I don't know if it's sleep walking, he's never actually left the bed before. He thinks it's because he's never actually had someone sleep in the same bed as him. When I was younger, I shared with my sister, where as he's always had his own room. But joking aside it did bother me because he's done things like that before. This was by far the worst.

Fair enough, I'll leave off the racial slurs.
Is "chick" the welsh equivalent of the scottish "jimmy"?
Annie often sits up when I come to bed late, we have conversations and in the mornings she has no recollection but then she has never got out of bed. I know I often dream about falling and wake because I have jumped and shook the bed. Sounds like Leigh just has an extended version of that. Hope you can work it out...at least so you know you're safe.
Maybe you need to get into bed with him more often to get him used to sharing.

I thought that too
I do the falling off a cliff thing as well, actually I jump all night for no reason. I also hold conversations with Leigh when i'm sleeping, the last one was about ice cream and I remember waking up once with him laughing like a clown because I has turned over and asked him if he wanted a slice of pizza.

and chick is the same sort of thing as the scottish "jimmy". Like calling someone love, a term of endearment.

A girl after my own heart...in bed beside her man and dreaming of pizza...
Unfortunately my conversations with Annie are awkward...I think we've resolved something only to find we got to talk it through all over again

Could be worse I suppose.... pizza and ice cream was the funniest so i've been told.
Never have a conversation with anybody who is asleep or has just woken up.. my mum used to pop in to ask me to do something and I would answer but never ever remember even talking to her.... so never do what I was asked until it was usually too late

Good advice!!! But Annie is pretty convincing!
Went to see Cirque de Soliel on Saturday...has it been to Cardiff?...its like a threatrical circus with no animals...clowns, acrobats, jugglers...it was amazing...a male and female pair of acrobats did like an advanced yoga set, she headstands on his head and him on one leg...about twenty people all skipping and spinning ropes at the same time, two guys spinning double ropes with two guys skipping the double and spinning their own and a guy in the middle skipping his own rope and the other three
Hello stinky
smiler Posted Nov 30, 2004
I think it has, a few times actually.....
So alot of skipping and spinning then?

smiler Posted Nov 30, 2004
It was ok, not the best I've had to be honest. I didn't sleep very well on Sunday night after Saturday night, so I was a bit tired today.

You'll just have to try again and get it right.
Our kids have just started their summer holidays so besides Cirque it was a bit mad at our house with their friends and them coming and going and sleepovers and stuff...Sian had her friends over last night so Annie and I hunkered down with a couple of bottles to chat till all hours so a little weary here as well
