Happy Birthday X!!

Well, x-mas is upon us (or, as i write this, past us), meaning we all are to have celebrated the birthday of X. In celebration of this event, I recieved a PS2. A gaming system so addictive that I was locked to Kingdom Hearts for an excess of 4 hours X-mas day... The couch still holds a detailed impreint of my pajama-clad @$$... there's an image for ya!

The funeral

smiley - ermI woke up to the sound of my sister blowing her nose at 8:00 AM. Besides the fact that I hadn't gotten much sleep since I went to bed at one that same morning, I wasn't too irritated. I think that if I could sum up all my memories of her, it would be in the form of a use tissue, and the sound of one nose being blown. I swear, she has the more snot than anyone I've ever met. I think if it was to pool together in a post-sneezing reunion the Atlantic Ocean would have puddle envy.
The funeral itself was great (all things considered). Our grandpa wanted no ceremony, just a burial with the family around. My kind of guy. He just wanted things straight up, without all that pomp and circumstance we see in how we traditionally serve our dead. It was very emotional, all the same. For once my handy foot-hanky became useful for something other than dusting (I think it still smells of cleaner...).
After that, we came back to the hotel (from which I am writing), and took a lil nap. It was great fun, but I got bored and my sister and I went to the mall. Wow my journal entries are boring. I think if anyone was to take the time to read them all they might think me a boring person. Hm... Nothing like first impressions. laters!

From the Plane

The windows are no help to me here, since the outside world is blanketed in clouds. I can tell though that the writers of the Twilight Zone movie had an experience not dissimilar to mine. Here comes my lemonade (single-serving, of course). Everything on a plane is single serving. Kind of funny if you think about it. Good thing I'm not schitzophrenic.
My luck on "laptop lane" wan't too golden. I went through three stalls with no success. I'm beginning to think I'm cursed when it comes to entering this info abroad. On the upside, I didn't have to pay the bill, as I really used each for bout three minutes at a time.
I've been dwelling on the last month, though, about as often as my mind can drift to it. I've seen my mom and step-dad more this month than I have the past two years. There's something wrong with that, right? And evnts seem to be growing in catastrophic magnitude. One weekend I went to see my then-dying grandfather, followed by a thanksgiving weekend with the people I hate, then another to bury the now-dead grandfather I just went to visit. What's next?smiley - wah
