Still working on this, but it is beginning to come together and I hope to be done by Friday. I'm just letting you know that I've added a footnote as well as am trialling the inclusion of headers to separate the text a little. If you dislike either then feel free to say so and they can be removed. I often work on a 'give it a try to see if it works, and if it doesn't then it was worth a try' approach, you see. I've also added a little links banner at the top in the hope that the 1980s entry will be Recommended soon.
Any links etc you don't like or think don't make sense feel free to say.

Love the footnote - great spot! As for the headings, I think we need either 72 - 75 and 76 - 79 or all the individual years. I think at the moment that the variety of headings and non-headings doesn't really work. I am happy for you to put headings using either approach above. Thanks for all your hard work and I really hope a Scout will get hold of the Christmas Singles of the 80s soon as I think they should be up there together.

I'm trying to have Headers for both 72-75 and 76-79 with some subheaders for individual years beneath, but if you don't think that works I can remove the individual years.

By a remarkable coincidence, I'll be subbing the above too. What are the chances, eh?

So I'll be doing the same sort of thing, adding links and tweaking it to fit the House Style. Any bigger changes than correcting a typo or so I'll let you know about, and you get to have a read-through when I'm done to ensure that you're happy with the changes made.

Is 1983's #22 'Pipes of Peace' worth a mention? It doesn't explicitly reference Christmas in the lyrics but the music video is set during the Christmas Day Truce.

Just added the bit about Pipes of Peace - good call by the way - and remembered that FGTH pulled the same trick with Power of Love! Both now added. Any chance of having the same picture as we do for the 1970s to create an overall look for the pair? It's such a good picture that there doesn't seem to be any need to source something different.
