Hi Summerbayexile,
I've just been putting some final touches to your entry on 'A Christmas Carol' before it joins the queue for the Front Page. On the whole, I've made very few changes; aside from a little additional research just for clarification's sake, the main changes are an added quote from the preface of the book to the start of the entry and the standard BBCi Links at the end. I thought I'd just give you a heads-up so you can see what we've done to our copy which can be found at A973631 (your original remains unaltered, of course ).
I really enjoyed this - along with your one on To Serve Them All My Days, it's a very welcome addition to our humble Guide.
Many thanks,
Jimster

Hi Jimster,
What a superb job you've done. The extra pieces of info are a perfect complement to the original, and of great interest to me as a student of the novel. I am really grateful for your help and support at a time when things are very difficult for me job-wise. The guide convinces me that I'm not as useless as my employer would have me believe!
Regards David

Well, not knowing the circumstances of your job, I shouldn't comment, David, but going purely on your contribution to us, I'm surprised anyone could make you feel useless. 'To Serve Them All My Days' was a fave of mine as a kid, and of course 'A Christmas Carol' is a novel easily described but the way you've approached it here takes a lot of insight, and indeed I wouldn't have been able to make my own additional contributions without a heck of a lot of leads provided by your own research.
I hope things work out for you, and thanks again for a superb contribution. Any idea what might come next?
Jims
