Hi Recumbentman! Happy new year to you and yours
I was wondering how you're getting along with my article Queen Caroline's Tragic Final Journey? Also, when you requested the Ray Harryhausen Sinbad Films uni project, I posted some instructions (they are subbed differently to the usual single articles) on Trello, and I don't know if you read them?

Darn it, I haven't done a thing. I'll get on to it. I'm not sure how you get hold of the Entries you mean to sub; I was kind of waiting for them to be pushed in my general direction somehow.
But happy new year! When I find out how to grab them I'll get to it!

Ah, I sent them when you requested them on Trello. The recommended articles are in your list of "Most Recent Guide Entries", I'm not sure which skin you use but in mine they have "Recommended" in brackets by their title. You have access to them until you "Return to Eds" but that is only the norm for ordinary PR-entries, the Uni project you requested is different, you need to sub them all THEN put the project page (only) into Peer Review. I posted full instructions at the Trello Scout & Sub-ed card.
Do shout if you need help, I'm just going to look after my mother but others are available onsite for general advice

Oh there they are. Your Caroline story is marked 'recommended' in Brunel but the Sinbads are not. I'll go to yours first.
Apologies for being such a log jam.

I suggest a few grammatical changes:
didn't end with her death. This took place on 7 August (the sentence had got too long)
the Prime Minister, Lord Liverpool, (I think the first comma is also necessary)
in an attempt to forestall public demonstrations.
The official route was announced commencing at Hammersmith, passing through
the empty hearse harnessed to eight plumed horses (connected doesn't seem the word)
He postulated that the troop of soldiers contravened the Queen's wishes (to avoid the awkward choice between were and was)
was invoking his legal right as executor (not evoking)
accused him of being a usurper and claimed that his power as executor took precedence (adding claimed)
whether Dr Lushington was going to stop the removal by force and if violence were going to be used. --this is awkward. If the subjunctive is correct (were going to be used) then should it not also apply earlier (whether Dr L were going to)? I recommend the modern usage, less correct but more familiar, putting 'was' in both places.
The crown denoted the status of the deceased – even though in life she had been denied a crown (a semicolon isn't right here)
carrying white baskets of flowers (or baskets of white flowers?)
Forced to give up, they changed direction and moved towards Knightsbridge.
They forced their way through the gates; many people were injured by sabre cuts and gunshot (semicolon required here)
The two-day journey
On 25 August a funeral was held for Queen Caroline at Brunswick Cathedral (rejigged to remove commas)
beside her father, the Duke of Brunswick (comma needed here, to match the coming one before the brother)
Richard Honey, aged 36, and bricklayer George Francis, aged 43 (I think this is usual)
Voice from the Past (not capitalising From; you didn't before)
Imagine the days before the welfare state and personal life insurance: if a calamity befell a family (colon instead of comma)
I haven't applied these changes yet, awaiting your response. Terrific Entry!

You're right, I'm way off the planet mind-wise. Thanks for the it's appreciated. Please sub-edit it as you see fit, pretend I'm just another peep from PR. Someone will final polish it (won't be me) so it may be tweaked again before it hits the FP.
The Sinbad film entries aren't recommended and won't go into PR individually. You do the subbing, then submit the Sinbad project page (only) to PR, reviewers will read the whole thing via the links which the subbie posts in the PR thread. Bluebottle will assist you - he's a past master of Uni projects. When all the reviewing is finished, I (or another Ed) will remove the project from PR and your copies of Sinbad are the ones which go live.

The one query you need me to respond to, I think: <> the baskets were white. I assume the flowers were multicoloured
Key: Complain about this post
