I really am looking for a new job. One with set hours and in a social service rather than in commerce/industry. First of all, though, we're off for 10 days in Puglia.

Staying in a house on stilts? Enjoy Italy! They really have a lot of life sorted there, it seems. Food and wine: the important things.

Yes. Seems like yesterday.
Food and wine is a good thing to have at the top of your list, but, as I've said elsewhere, despite the amazing scenery and the awe-inspiring light, the diversity of eras (erae?) represented, the whole place is ruined by their awful litter. I found people not as polite as I'm used to in England or Germany, too.
It was most interesting that you could pick up Italian, Greek and Albanian radio stations - and all of them playing that ubiquitous "Don't feel like dancing"
The standard of radio was rock bottom. And the programmes on the TV channels we picked up in the hotels (not many and all Italian - in fact the whole infrastructure is not geared to foreign guests) were equally inane.
I ought to write an entry. Maybe at least a journal entry.

Do, do. The value of an eyewitness account, personal reaction, is what h2g2 is about, nein?
