Wow that quote is used a lot! Not often mentioning Disraeli either, but that is the source, I'm sure. Here's a quote "In 1864, at a meeting at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford, Disraeli said, a propos of evolution, that the question was whether man is an ape or an angel, and he placed himself firmly on the side of the angels." from http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:ipcfKjnaUmsJ:www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp%3Fpage%3Dstory_19-5-2002_pg3_6+apes+angels+Disraeli&hl=en&gl=uk&ct=clnk&cd=3
the Daily Times (wonder what kind of publication that is. The article is interesting.)

Just found a page of Disraeli quotes; I had underestimated him. He was a true precursor of Wilde, with quips like
Every man has a right to be conceited until he is successful.
Everyone likes flattery, and when you come to Royalty, you should lay it on with a thick trowel
''Frank and explicit'' -- that is the right line to take when you wish to conceal your own mind and to confuse the minds of others.
He was distinguished for ignorance; for he had only one idea, and that was wrong.
He has not one single redeeming defect (On William Gladstone)
I must follow the people. Am I not their leader?
If you are not very clever, you should be conciliatory.
Increased means and increased leisure are the two civilizers of man.
Inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity, and gifted with an egotistical imagination (On William Gladstone)
It is much easier to be critical than to be correct.
It destroys one's nerve to be amiable every day to the same human being.

Ah! Maybe it only works in IE. (asking around) ...and only on some machines/ versions of windows. It inverts the whole screen.
Coda: I told my wife about the trick last night. She said that it had happened to someone at her work. They had to get the IT people in, who still couldn't figure it out. For a few months she had to have her screen turned upside down.
Key: Complain about this post
