They were the best of chickens; they were the worst of chickens.
But most importantly, they were chickens. And chickens they
were. Infact, many a cow did say that they were the finest
chickens the world had ever seen. So what was to become of the
most chicken of chickens the world had ever seen? They became
film makers, and this is their story.

The worms were juicy. Juicy like the sweet centre of a rain
soaked cow pat. They were the kind of worms dreams were made
of. And they were the kind of chickens to follow them.

It was the summer of '63 when the 'Rolling Eggs' frontman
made his famous speach against boiled eggs at the Chicken-Stock
music festival. A speech inspired by the film-makers controversial
documentry, "The Single Yoke Theory."

"Ask not what your chicken can do for you, but what you can
do for your chicken!"

It was this amazing stand for chicken rights that propelled
these four young chickens into stardom, but also left behind a
trail of worm abuse, broken coops and unwanted eggs.

Their world came spiriling down early one winter morning in
1967 when lead film maker J.Eggkay was shot from behind
whilst travelling with his wife, Chicky O. in the official
chicken motorcade. His funeral was attended by thousands of
fans, who honoured him with the traditional twenty-one cluck
salute. The murderer was never found, and the eggficial inquest
into his death was kept behind a wall of secrecy and 100 volt
chicken wire.

Despite the death of their beloved companion, the remaining
three members of the group continued on making films. But
no one liked them. So they changed fields and became astronauts.
Three years later, they became the first chickens on the moon.
