Your tagline - 'victory tastes like antifreeze' -
intrigues me but I find no resolution in your journal.
Will you enlighten me?

Thanks for asking
It comes from a twitter conversation between two coomics authors. It was at the time of Beaujolais Nouveau. For some reason it is part of the tradition to find that it tastes like fancy things -- banana is a classic, but anything can go. According to these authors, this year the wine has an aftertaste of antifreeze.
But at the same time, they had both finished putting the last touch to their latest album (or maybe it had just been printed, or something). So they also observed that this Beaujolais Nouveau had a taste of victory.
I inferred that victory tastes like antifreeze.
Simples!

Well, without context I was obliged to imagine something
within my own scope of reference and actually thought it
might have been about Mark Webber's victory in the recent
Brazilian Grand Prix, which if you follow the sport at all
must have been bitter-sweet after an otherwise winless year
(running second to his younger team-mate Sebastian Vettel).
And with 'winter' coming on the victory will at least keep
him warm until the new season springs upon us.
Funny how subjective life is and how we tend to project our
own experience with the expectation that others will know
what we are talking about.

Maybe to him, victory also tastes like antifreeze.
My explanation is just one possible interpretation.
