This is a hate piece. To relieve my system of gall and ire, here are some things that irritate me out of all proportion to their importance.
Split Infinitives
People who write about "ex-patriots" What's wrong with expatriate?
Unveiling anything. Why not revealing?
Kids. I gave birth to children. Babies, if one must be picky.
Glottal stops, er, like, um, y'know, "I don't mind","I mean...", "I quite like..."
Peninsular used as a noun not an adjective.
Gunnels instead of gunwhales
Wimper in place of Whimper.
An hotel. WHY? We don't elide in English.
Wen in place of When.
Wine in place of Whine.
There are more. After an exceedingly good meal a glass of wine and a cigar, I am unable to think malignantly of any others!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
