Luckily I have been toddling around the h2g2 site for quite a while now and so I know most of what there is in those links, but thank you anyway! One thing that has been introduced to me is the GuideML though and, because of this, I have today been looking through HTML walk-throughs and tutorials so that I can go on and master the language thing - certainly a challenge (especially for me who didn't know a whole lot about HTML to start with - the basics, if that) but when the basics have been grasped I assume that it is just a matter of practise!

If you haven't found it already, you might like to have a look at the <./>GuideML-Clinic</.>, for all your GuideML needs

I'm not an Elton John fan myself, but he is quite cool

I have had a look at the GuideML-Clinic, that pretty much got me through the changes needed for my first article so that is pretty good I am now in the process of picking up the HTML basics so that I can apply more and more to the Guide and bettering my website.

One question, is it possible to use some sort of Meta tags in GuideML? I wish to use one to use in my introduction so that it auto-refreshes every say 5 minutes to pick up and replies that may have been sent. Can't seem to work it in, it doesn't like it for some reason.

Unfortunately you can't those Meta tag things in GuideML. However, there is a handy little gadget which you can put a link to on your page that will display a list of your conversations in a nice pop-up window which auto-refreshes every two minutes.

Put a tag around whatever text you want to form the link that opens the Pop Up Conversations window.

Eg,

You can click here to see your Conversations.

Thanks! That is pretty much all I needed it for, I should have guessed that somebody would have had that idea before me and actually done something about it!
Further to my previous question, is there any approved route to suggest any additions to the code, just in case there is something there that is thoroughly innovative and useful?

I'm glad to know you're getting used to h2g2. It's a huge, complicated site so it does take a little while to find your feet. Try not to be over-whelmed by it all
