Intro
Greetings All!
My name is Locke, Researcher Locke if you prefer, or just plain old Ash to my friends. I'm 26, caucasain/Cherokee/Apache, male, and (please don't hold this against me) American. I am a Native & life long resident of Oklahoma (that's the one above Texas & below Kansas, for the geographicaly impaired among us)and now I'm a Researcher here at the Guide.
I've been a fan of the books ever since I first read them back in 5th Grade, although admittedly back then most of the humor went right over my head (after all, I was only 10 at the time). Regardless, I was hooked, and went on to eventualy own the entire series as well as both of the Dirk Gently novels (which every Guide fan should read at least once).
I must say I'm glad that even though old Doug is no longer with us, The Guide lives on.
And truly, what more fittng memorial could there be for the man who taught us that a towel is the single most useful piece of equipment an interstellar hitch-hiker can own, and that no matter how grim or awful things may be, we must always remember those two little words: Don't Panic!
