May I ask why many of you have lengthy expressions of 42 on the bottoms of your personal space -- besides, of course, the obvious tribute to DNA? Did I miss something during initiation? Just kidding. But either way, I'm curious (in case, in some way, you hadn't noticed). Thanks toxx.

Hi Terps. There's some myth that everyone's researcher number can be manipulated to result in 42, using any mathematical function needed. Ideally, the individual integers should be used in the correct order; as you will observe in my case. That zero factorial is a useful dodge. Why not have a try. Some are much easier than others. Perhaps some are impossible. It would be a nice mathematical exercise to attempt to prove this one way or the other!

And now for a dumb question. How do people get those little titles after their userIDs? Such as, "SoAndSo 'the super thing of whatnot'"?

I don't know the answer to your final question, Terps. I guess you fiddle about with your ID. Ask someone who's done it.
OK, lets make the 42 task harder. Many people seem to introduce the constraint that the numerals can't be concatenated. So 113 isn't on! So you have to use each numeral as an individual number. In your case, it's still easy.

Sorry about the long silence, toxx. Holidays are time consuming things (particularly when both your parents and your significant other's parents are split up -- this produces between four and eight Christmas celebrations between nuclear and extended family).

Or am I not allowed to use parenthesis?

Parentheses are fine, Terps. Told you it was an easy one. Hope you enjoyed at least some of the break. Hey, it would be fun to have a go without parentheses. I must just check out whether it's possible.
