Hehe, a couple of friends of mine took that test and got high on narsissistic and low on everyone else and then said to each other in their journals "Hey, we're a right bunch of fruit cakes arent we!"....*grumbles like Mutley and invites him to do so too *

How can anyone like someone who histrionic? Unless cutting yourself counts as attention seeking as far the test is concerned? But that would make it a very lame test...
*Grumbles like mutley and decides Mutley will be his new nickname for Suz*

It is a lame test....you have lots of aspects to your personality...histronic wouldnt be one of the first words I'd come up with to describe you...
Oi, smeg you ....the best I can do in retaliation is to quote B4 from Nemisis, "why does that man have a furry face?"

Hmm... Would that be because histrionic isn't an everyday word?
He has a furry face because it makes him soooooooooooooooooooo sweet and adourable!

Others would I'm sure... but thank you that's comforting as attention seeker is not a label I appreciate.
Oh it is isn't it

oh i got 'high' for dependant too. I take it that sposed to be emotional dependance as i've lived on my own for 6 years
I think my results now are proly better than they wouldve been a few years ago,.. i've got a lot better .Some of the questions are so odd though!

It literally mean 'drama or acting/actor' basicly it's a euphamismistic way of calling someone a drama queen who craves attention or impress their own needs on others.
I'm not too happy about being called antisocila either...

I got 'low' for antisocal. Errr so how do they work out that your an anti social drama queen then?
surely the two cancel each other out as you can't seek attention from yourself!
I suppose I 'am' a wee bit of a drama queen at times ,and i do like positive attention..(although i can also find it hard to deal with )but i woulnt say i go out of my way to seek it or push much onto others..hmmmmmmm

Antiscoial means someone who engages in antisocila behavior... I hate being the centre of anttention... People say that self harm is attention seeking but that is so wrong... though I have met people on this site that have claimed to be a self harmer to gain attention when they've never done it at all The only way I come close to an attention seeeker is through my dependant personality, needing constant reasurance of friendship and mutual affection...

I think thats the type of attention seeking meant..the reassurance... i'm terrible for that.
I stopped self harming about 7 years ago (my attempts were never very bad to start with, several attempted overdoses, cut wrists a couple of times, bit of cutting) ..and id certanly say i wasnt doing it to get attention..it was more taking things out on myself in my case. i suppose i do stiil self harm in a way..never letting a cut heal..(im an awful picker) ,smoking although im asthmatic..its like self sabotage..part of your brain trying to make yourself into the horrible thing it already thinks you are..and punishing you for it at the same time.Hmmmmmm ..so i seek the reassurance that im loved n worth loving, then cant accept it as the truth!

Indeed... not being able to ascept it as the truth when one get's it has for me ruined a relationship by hurting the someone that I still most... the end of the relationship combined with the paroxetine put me into hospital for five weeks because I was so suicidal and self injuring more than before.

..through the guilt yeah? its like a viscious circle at times isnt it. I'm sure one day you'll meet someone with the determination, patience n love
to get past it all

Guilt, self-loathing, anger, self-pity and more... I took it all out on my arms and legs with a knife... I'd self harmed before but not with a knife...
It's a viscious circle, it's conflict too one that rages on in your head as though splitting inside into two waring armies of thought and the real you is trapped in between them powerless.
I doubt I will and I'll believe I deserve their if I did meet some with the determination, patience or love.

Thats a good way of describing it..(the warring armies with 'you' stuck in the middle) ..though its not so much a roar as a constant muttering for me now..(most of the time) does'nt make it a great deal easier though! ach well..

It's all still there for me - defening - the drugs just stop me from trying to escape from it as much as was...
I don't suppose it does make very much easier at all...
