I really can't see what's wrong with your hair or your looks in general
It was great to meet you and I very much enjoyed talking to you - not too sure about you, though

Fancy a change, huh?
As I'm very far from being the world's leading expert on style, I shall enthusiastically offer my
You seem to have an elfin, Puck-like thing going on with your face; perahps this could be brought out more with a sort of shortish, sticky-up fluffy-looking hairstyle. Like this kind of thing (ignore the photofit face underneath):

Personally, I think you'd be hot stuff with such a haircut, but what do I know. I get laughed at in the street.

You could make tiny plaits & incorporate them into your beard, sort of "Chic Sikh" style thing. Definitely, if in doubt, keep growing it, but i am somewhat biased in favour of guys with long hair.
Is it annoying you, 'cos if so, obviously it's ponytail time, but even that can be individual style. A high one, low one, pulled to one side, or of course ask 2legs for advice on his lovely bunches!
How about dreads? Don't have much idea how you get them with european hair; i think you simply don't wash it & keep twizzling it around.
I have major probs with my hair & end up dragging it kicking & screaming into one of those clips with claws, but i've honestly never seen a guy with one. Though Beckham has made Alice bands acceptable.
Weird isn't it, throughout history right up till 20th century, long hair was the norm for guys.

Puckish face?
Kinda like Mister Punch.
I don't what do with this hair, I do fancy a change, not sure how dramatic a change, I think I'd feel kinda naked if I went much shorter in one go.
I'm doubtful that going longer would suit me much. Plus it gets curlier the longer it is.
Dreadlocks on a chubby white guy really wouldn't work for me.
I guess the best I can do for now is get more prounouced layering in it and take back to collar-length.

Oh yeah, Terri, do you still have that copy of Voodoo Handbag?

Snailrind Posted Jul 18, 2006
Mr Punch--so THAT'S how you see yourself! I'd often wondered. Gothly has a very similar brand of dysmorphia going on.
If you grow your hair longer, you could always maintain its sleekness with one of those straightening irons.
My mother, who has long curly hair, went through a phase of ironing it on an ironing-board. She dampened it first, and had the iron on a low setting. It seemed to do the trick. Although, knowing you, you'd try to iron your face while you were at it, eh, what?

It occurs to me that your knowledge of Puck is through Neil Gaiman. That was NOT what I meant!

I am aware of the other Midsummer Night's Dream.
Also, that Puck wasn't invented by either Gaiman or that no good Tudor hack.
Puck is an imp and has the impish, mischievous look which exagerated further takes to a sinister devilish look.
Bill cast Puck somewhat against type making him as a psoitive and 'merry wanderer of the night'.
Somewhere, in my mind, the leap from puckish to Punch - whom I do indeed associate my profile with - is not a huge one.

I do indeed still have the book, where should it be sent next?

That's ok then, I guess. I meant something like Shakey's Robin Goodfellow or the Celtic Pwca: a mischievous rogue, kinda cute. Nothing like Punch.

I was wondering if B'Elana was interested in it or if it should just head back here.

Interested in what ? Sorry, just back from a week at my sister's, I seem to have lost the plot somehow
How are you, btw ? In this heat, I'm really glad that I can put my hair up and don't have to have it in my neck

Some time ago a copy of Robert Rankin's 'The Dance Of The Voodoo Handbag' left England for Sweden, it then went on from there to Begium, from whence it made it's way to Frogland. Then it took a a long nap and bedded down in France for a while. I was wondering if you might care to give a home in Germany for bit, it doesn't much matter how long it takes you to get around to reading it, should you care to have it sent your way.
Once you have read it I can try to find somewhere elese for it to travel to. Until we eventually get it Around The World.

Oh yes, that's a great idea. I signed in with the bookcrossing project after I had read Cyzaki's entry about it, left a book in the bus, never heard anything since, so forgot about it myself
So this looks a bit like a private book crossing project, which I think is fantastic.
Next time I talk to lil, I'll ask her to give my address to Terry

I figure I'll just have upto an inch to an inch and a half taken off the length and have it more layered, maybe a touch of the thinning scissors.
They seemed to have gone on holiday last time I passed the place, so not sure when I will actually get something done.
