Surviving. A little bruised about the heart regions. But, the blow to it was not unexpected.
Might I add your good self to my friends list or might that be less than entirely welcome?

Go ahead, I'd feel quite honoured.
Obviously the favour would be returned.

Oops, I added you about half an hour ago and thought I'd replied to say ...
"Done and done! Thank you, I feel not little honoured myself."
You have quite a challenge I think in combining a cricket bat, and microphone as tattoos that don't look a little odd. The snowdrop would work well alone. Still if it means a lot to you I hope a way is found.
I think I mentioned that a a dear friend of mine wants t do something similar and honour someone with a Caduceus.
I was working on my own design sometime ago. But at the moment spending money on a tattoo isn't a priority. I saw a work by Alex Grey who features on Tool cover art that is similar to what I came up with, only done with some skill. I've also fancied having The Green Eye from Aenima, so I guess it no great surprise the themes would be similar.

I'm sorry if my opining in your journal wasn't so helpful.

grr Posted Oct 15, 2007
It's alright, I probably haven't been so helpful with yours either. If I don't reply to journals it's not that you're being ignored it's that I don't want to post for the sake of it.

The zombiecon sounds quite cool, white face paint without black terrifies me, but a little fear is good from time to time apparently. Probably live much too far away anyway.

It should be cool.
Specific details are a little hard to find at the moment, this is in part because they haven't been decided on yet.
I suspect it will be in London. I'll keep everyone updated with details as I get them.
If it is in London what problems might you be facing?

The con may yet prove to be closer to you. Ever heard of trains?
Azathoth
grr Posted Oct 19, 2007
Yes, I have heard those wondrous new inventions...trains... mentioned to me once before I think.
Maybe saving up and a lot of begging of parentals could work.

Ah yes, I think I mention the visit to the Bluebell Railway and messing about huge great piece of steam driven engineering...
If they're worried about you consorted with weirdos they can come too.
If not, but cost is still an issue we may be able to sort out a room share.

I all honesty I don't think it would appeal to them in any way, and a room share with strangers would freak them out even more.
I'm not even sure if my mum will let me go to reading and leeds with a friend I've known since I was 4. The zombie con would be a thing I'd either love or hate, as with scary stuff I sometimes get more scared with increased contact, possibly reducing me to a nervous wreck cowering in the corner of a hotel room by the end of the weekend.

However, if i got incredibly lucky there is a hotel not so far away that's a short walk from my Dad's favourite pub.

The idea will be, I expect, have as many as possible in the same hotel that the event is taking place in.
There will stuff that is fun and stuff that is creepy too I'm sure, we shan't be trying to scar people for life. If you do get scared you can hide in my coat.
Maybe at some point it will prove worth putting your folks in touch with organisers to put their minds at ease.
