Yeah, but still...
Anyway, we made a fun night out of it.

wuhhh,
i've seen live aus berlin.
I love the fireworks stuff.
Especially the part where the drummer pulls out magic candles to drum with...

I might buy Lichtspielhaus. By all accounts, it's worth watching.

Any other good bands we can talk about?

Well, there are plenty. Then we would have to change the subject line, though.
Did I mention that I saw Rammstein in December? Guess what, it was pretty cool. I had watched the "Live aus Berlin" DVD, so I knew that fireworks was the big thing. I never knew, however, how much fireworks you can actually set off indoors!
The support band was Exilia from Italy. They were pretty loud. I did not like their songs much, but at least they were good musicians at that. As a kind of encore (imagine that, from a support band) they played Metallica's Enter Sandman, and there it showed that they really knew how to rock a place...
Rammstein, themselves, were, as might be suspected, awesome. The sound was incredible. Most of the songs they played were off the "Reise, Reise" and "Mutter" albums. Only during the encore did they play some older stuff, including "Du riechst so gut" and "Du hast." The last song of all was their version of Depeche Mode's "Stripped," with one of the guitar players riding across the audience in a rubber boat as can be seen on "Live aus Berlin."
My personal highlights were "Mein Teil," where Flake was placed in a giant cauldron while Till shot fire from a flame thrower at the cauldron; "Moskau" for the use of lightning; "Los," played on accoustic guitars and a tiny drumset placed in the wings; and "Links" for the power and energy it conveyed.

I might go see them at a festival.
Rammstein
Yelbakk Posted Jan 24, 2005
Which festival is that gonna be? Who else will be playing? I have never been to a festival and don't know how much time each band has for their gigs. I would not want to pay vast amounts of money to see just one band, then have to wait through a host of dispicable wannabe's and then "my" band plays only five songs, you know. But then again, if there is a nice line-up and every band gets to play long sets, it sounds like fun.

Fields of Rock, the only band confirmed so far is Rammstein, but there's going to be at least 14 others. I also might go to Wacken in Germany.

If you'd spent less time goating around with your head up your @$$ you'd have heard that I might go to Wacken.

i spend no time with wasting precious ass blood.
And as you said, you said you MIGHT go to wacken.
not that you surely WOULD go to wacken

That's the idea of a shortlist: It's a list of possibilities, not a list of things I'm actually going to!
