Hey, great to be here again! First an intro, you may remember me from um, about 5 years ago. I believe my researcher number was 211604 and I was thingite member number 229.

So how has everything here been since I left? I can't be bothered to trawl through the years of blog.

Anyway, I'm not really sure what's been going on lately, it's been very quiet for quite a while.

*whispers*

hmm, looks quiet, no postings, no replies apart from this one, dead.

*watches tumble-weed ball*

and who might hear us?

*eyeshifts

That ball is Evil.

*promptly cuts tumbleweed ball in half with very nifty and very exciting new multicolour lightsaber*

*Clears throat*

There's two of them now...

Hmm, they seem to be multiplying exponentially!!?

At this rate the whole of h2g2 could be infected in days! Something has to be done.

You don't think these tumbleweed balls are the physical manifestation of lurkers do you?

*prods bits of the tumbleweed with foot*

It could be...or it could be the souls of those who no longer post.

*remembers all those who have stopped posting and have departed for the infinitely long lunch break*

Honestly, some people...it is possible to type during a lunch break you know.

So what kind of kooky hours do you keep now?

As for lunch time typing it depends on several factors:

1: Type of food (Crumbly, Oily, Sloppy etc etc)
2: Cost of equipment (Expensive equipment -> Don't risk it)
3: Users method of eating (One hand with nibbles or the two-handed cram technique)
4: Amount of time available (5 seconds on the train or 5 hours at home like me

and did you check out my new lightsaber?

Anything goes these days really. Sometimes I have breakfast at 6 in the evening simply because I sleep late and don't want to skip it.

Which one is the new one? I'd say the red one is one of mine, the other one doesn't really look like a lightsaber from where I'm sitting...

I skip breakfast most days. I'm pretty hungry now but hopefully dinner should be ready within the hour, so I'm not that much bothered. Thinking about it, I haven't eaten for nearly 22 hours! Wow, I didn't think I would survive this long. I may have to post a Journal entry about my ordeal.

And why doesn't it look like a lightsaber?

Mainly because the blade isn't attached to the handle
